Favorite bun less burger on the go

I'll be out running errands today and plan on picking one up. I'd like to hear which one you like the best.

I don't normally do bunless burgers unless it's a local place that sell grass-fed beef(so, so good, btw.) What I DO love is Arby's roast beef w/one packet of horsey sauce.

I do Wendy's baconator (no bun, katsup, mayo (wierd in a lump with no bun)) I like the Wendy's better but the service locally is not the best.
McD Angus, bacon, cheese (no bun mustard, katsup)... I have a disability & at the local francaise they go out of their way to be helpful... majority of the time, they'll have me sit & bring my order out to me.

Service is a big deal! Glad they are good to you at your McDs. It should be good everywhere.

The baconator is good, McDonald's double quarter pounder is good too, but I most often get two or three McDoubles when I'm out and about. Cheap and filling. Plus, McDonald's large drinks are only a dollar, so the whole meal is four or five bucks, and I'm good for several hours.

Jack in the Box jumbo jack with cheese (it's not a double but it's a sizable patty).
What-a-burger (if you have them) have great burger patties. They will add whatever you like so I usually get it on a bed of extra lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, then the cheeseburger patty on top and mustard.

Five Guys is good, but I know we don't have a drive through anywhere around here... not sure if any of the locations do?

For drive throughs, Wendy's Baconator is good if you can spare the salt (YIKES ) although I hear if you request that they cook you fresh patties without salt/with light salt, they supposedly do it.

Usually I just go to McDonalds and order a side of quarter pounder meat. That's only $1.79 and I normally top it with something of my own. The other day I spread a wedge of laughing cow over top and that was really good!

For sit-down places though (which probably isn't doable even if you can place an order and pick it up to-go) Red Robin is the absolute best imo... their lettuce wrapped burgers are INSANELY good

I do Wendy's Jr. Bacon (no bun) and the Jr. Deluxe (no bun) both with mayo on the side to add myself, then put them on top of each other for a double bacon burger that is pretty cheap. I also get a ceaser side salad and take off the tomatoes. Very yummy and filling

If you have In and Out, the "protein style" and "flying dutchman" are great.

Nobody has mentioned Carl's jr low carb burger?

Gonna get a plain quarter pounder since daughters favorite is McDonalds. This gives me lots of ideas for the future.

I like Hardee`s low carb burger, wrapped in lettuce and no ketchup. I guess it is Carl`s Jr. in your area. Mcdoubles are great, I get it with mayo only.

I think Mooyah is my favorite. I'm not a big burger fan, but do eat them for convenience. I actually like the flavor of the Mooyah burger and they have all the toppings like Five Guys. They do a lettuce wrap too - don't remember what they call it.

Mooyah and Five Guys are my favorite two choices because of the toppings. However, they also both have my favorite fries so that is hard to resist. I'm not a fan of other fries, so never have to resist when I go to Wendy's, etc.

the only one I feel ok eating is the In and Out "Flying Dutchman." it's two patties with cheese between them.

I think In and Out uses better ingredients and it doesn't scare me to eat there. go ahead and tell me I'm wrong about that if I am!

I grew up in California and In & Out was one of the best places to get a burger, but that was 40+ years ago. I've heard the quality is still good.

It's too bad they are only available in 5 states. I'm in TX now but there are none within 50 miles of where I live.

An other vote for In-n-Out's Flying Dutchman!
I have eaten them on road trips up and down California with a wonderful surprise from the scale when I get home!

Anyone know why they are called "Flying Dutchmen"?

Five Guys, hands down. They'll even wrap it in lettuce if you ask, too. =)

If I have a couple of oopsies at home to use, I'll get a whopper w/ cheese from BK and just toss the bun and restack it onto my oopsies. Love those things, but have to be able to pick it up and eat with my hands. Weird, but it's just not the same w/ a fork and knife for me.

Of course, fast and cheap is McD's if you're in a super rush. Don't try going for their grilled chicken sandwich though...you only get a tiny piece of chicken, but it's still costing you over 4 bucks. So not worth it. I'd just go for their burgers.

I don't think I could survive a five guys with out the fries. Ugh. I might do that tomorrow. I've been craving a greedy burger.

I didn't mention In-and-Out because we don't have any near us, but I do like them when i go to CA. We also don't have Carl Jrs near here and I've yet to try them when travelling, but heard lots of people do love them.

I forgot: fuddruckers! Not really "fast" (and the local one is always packed busy) but their burger patties are really good and they have 5 or 6 choices of cheese and a nice "salad" bar. I don't know what it is about their dill pickle slices, but they're addicting.

For really fast I'll get a McDonald's double quarter pounder with cheese and not eat the bun, but it is way too salty usually.

For flavor, I like a Culver's double or triple bacon deluxe no bun. But it really needs to be eaten with a fork and knife so not really "on the go" as much.

I do single or double quarter pounder w/ cheese, no ketchup, and dehydrated onions instead of chopped. Add lettuce (This is just for ease of handling!)

I like Culver bacon cheeseburger too!
