Deep breath and baby steps...

This time around on LC I have no deadline, I have no one breathing down my neck wanting to know my every pound lost.

So, now I'm in no hurry to lose weight, as a matter of fact this journey is about being healthy. I'm taking baby steps when it comes to this lifestyle and also exercising. I've been back on plan a month and started added in light exercise this week. I've realized this and my whole perspective has changed this time around. I'm more patient with my body, and even more satisfied with results of a 1lb lost in a week. The last time I restricted my calories A LOT and was very strict and nearly starved myself to lose weight but I did lose 40lbs in 2.5 months. I'm sure it wasn't the healthiest thing to do and probably why I ended up gaining it back because I didn't build a foundation for healthy living. I was blinded when it comes to nutrition and the only thing I cared about then was losing weight by a specific date.

Now I am more conscious, and taking this one day at a time.

I felt I had to share this with y'all because I was just thinking of this and maybe motivate someone else to focus on being healthy instead of a rushed weight loss and how blinded we can become.

I think this is great! I end up doing really badly with those deadlines. Obviously, we all want it to fall off overnight and never give weight loss a second glance, but finding something you can actually live with makes more sense! I did that and found a way I am happy, feel good, and lose anything in a week. If I lose anything, I'm a happy girl. Sometimes with that big loss in the beginning, it gives us a rush and we have to stop and reevaluate. I think you've got great enthusiasm for this!

Thank you! I needed to hear that. Sometimes I need an affirmation and a reminder that this is about a healthy life and a healthy WOE, not a race.

Thanks guys, I have really changed this time around thanks to a lot of circumstances that are irrelevant to this forum. You guys are an amazing support, I honestly come here and read through my struggles when I think I'm wanting to get derailed. It makes the process easier to have you guys! x1 MILLION!
