Just joined the forum after desperately searching for low carb foods I would actually eat. I come from a family of many diabetics, so I figured it was only time until it found me. At my last dr's visit I found out on am on the edge, so I was lectured about pulling carbs and sugar from my diet immediately. It is overwhelming! I am pretty much a part time vegetarian who lives on carbs. So far I am finding many great ideas on how what I can eat besides chicken and eggs! Whew.. what a relief!.

Any suggestions are welcomed! I feel like I am venturing into a whole new world.

This site is a huge wealth of information-take some time and just browse through the threads and you'll learn everything you need to know, to get started on your healthy living journey There's several low carb plans represented here, as well as some non-carb ones.

I also began losing weight because of a diabetes scare, and after losing almost 40 pounds on an IF plan (intermittent fasting plan-JUDDD), I just got new blood work results today and my fasting glucose number was 89 I'm solidly in the normal range now!

I went LC and it was when I was pregnant with my third that a Dr. told me I wasn't diabetic or even pre-diabetic, but perhaps pre-pre-diabetic. I've been paying attention to sugars the whole time. Anyway. Welcome!
