I am NOT a happy trooper. One week of strict induction. I lost a little over one pound and DH lost 10.

LOL cute photo, Babette and thanks for the start off.

Babette please remember that this is a slow process.
We didn't put the weight on overnight and can't expect miracles.
It took me about a year to lose the original 55 lbs that needed to go.
Just be patient and stay on plan.

Happy Easter to the rest.

Thanks for starting us out, Begete. Give the plan one more week, or change it to suit YOU, your dh can eat the way he is doing now, if that is what he likes. No laws about this stuff, especially at our ages.
How are the kittie's doing today?

Hi Linda, glad to see you posting and sounding more, "normal". Will you be on the phone tomorrow dealing with the hospital?

Glad to see Gladys back on, figured you had family visiting.

It's pouring rain, thunder and lightning for awhile, but it's needed, any moisture is good, but the grass needs to be mowed, soon.

Enjoy today as best that you can, hopefully no one has to work, my son does, however.

Don’t just do something, stand there!

Good morning, Doris you got the blast of rain and we got the little bits. Woke up around 2 to let the dogs out and the ground was wet. Now this morning we have another beautiful day. Bet it gets into the 70's again.

Begete you sound like me. I'm so strict it makes my teeth hurt and I've lost 3# pounds for the month. I'm just an ole work horse and still keep trudging along. LOL!

Have the best day you can and enjoy it to the fullest.

Good morning all and a very Happy Easter and Passover....busy time of the year. You guys up north are getting the rain we expected...the front is staying a bit north of us and we "may" get a few sprinkles. We're eight inches below normal on the rainfall for this year; but, of course, our normal is low at 13 inches as it really is a desert

I really slept in this morning, that makes two in a row...I'm feeling good. Puppy was excited when I finally started moving and the rest of the pack was elated when I fed them. I am getting onto the patio more as I'm taking 'em outside to make sure puppy is peepooing. Which is good because that mean's I'm cleaning and watering and getting more sunshine for the vitamin D...still thinking I need to find a pack for puppy that is more conducive to his puppiness.

Babette, sounds like DH had a lot more water to lose than you did; but, of course, guys always lose weight faster and easier than we do...keep it up. I'm thinking of Atkins for April to see if I can jump start more weight loss...I made it back to my starting weight for the month so I don't have to register a gain but had a two pound loss sometime during the month. It is a slow process and at our age, it isn't as easy as it once was...although I really think it was never easy for me.

Hope you all have a great day, good things come your way and you find something really good to do for yourself today.

An encouraging season now for sure.

Love the cute pic Babette for our opening.

I hear ya on the weight loss. DS does much better than me too.
He does spend a lot of time at the gym though so I guess I need to get more physical. D'ya Think?

Wishing All a splendid day.

Hi to Everyone!
My company left at noon today and after putting thru a wash of sheets, then one of towels, I fell asleep for an hour or so..lol. Anyways, they came late Thursday night; Friday, my DS and his DS did all kinds of little jobs around the house for me including getting rid of a hack on this little laptop. Anyways, we went out to a really nice New Orleans style restaurant which I'd been to before. They liked it. Then, Saturday, we drove to Orlando for DDIL to see and purchase mucho supplies for her scrapbooking hobby, then to the Millenia Mall which is the most beautiful mall with only the highest end stores there. Susan, have you been there when in Orlando? We then ate at (not there) in a Peruvian restaurant. My DDIL is from Lima, Peru. It was excellent...and I have some left-overs in my fridge! This morning, we went to a great breakfast place not far from my home and they left from there. Why am I so tired???
Next time DS is here, he'll replace one of my bathroom's ceiling exhaust fan...yeah.
Bye for now!

Hi folks. Happy Easter and Passover. We are doing nothing today. I've been dozing in my chair.

Last night, Gypsy, the cat, was in rare form. After 3 tries at one of the bird cages from the bottom and a few swats from Rich, she tried another tactic. She jumped up onto the tall speaker, then onto the armoire/entertainment center and then began a jump onto the top of the bird cage. Rich caught her mid-jump. At that point, he decided that she should go back into the basement. Earlier she wrapped her legs around mine in a playful way and did the same to Cathy. Then as Molly and I walked through the diningroom, Gypsy ran up from behind Molly and jumped on her rump. Scared the heck out of Molly. But I think Gypsy was just trying to play. She rubs on Molly with affection. Now Max is a different story. She doesn't like that puppy at all.

Babette, I like the names Calvin and Hobbes. Back to my chair.

To live each day the best I can

Happy Easter and Passover to all.

My day was a bummer...too long to go into but suffice it to say I will be glad to see the back of this day.

As Scarlett O'Hara says I'll think about it tomorrow.

It was beautiful weather but there sure is a lot of pollen here. Every thing is green and my glasses lenses were even green when I came in from the grill...So I figured it was all over me so I've showered and will try to watch a movie.

After a nice quiet day, I discovered a pleasant surprise - a new episode of 'Call the Midwife' is airing tonight. Yay!

Hope you all enjoyed this day,
