A little celebration is in order......
Today is a day to celebrate for me! Since I began this WOE on 1 January, I have lost 35 lbs! In addition, my BMI went from 35.5 to 29.9. This is very significant because I went from being deep in the BMI range for obese to my new BMI range for overweight. I have also gone from a size 18 to a size 12!!! Not bad for a 3 month effort!!
Since I began this journey, I am more committed than ever to making this a permanent lifestyle change and I feel better than I have in years. My chronic allergies and sinus issues have improved dramatically. My indigestion problems are pretty much gone. My confidence level is way up. I can do so much more with my kids. My PMS symptoms, which always included terrible migraines, are much milder. I care a lot more about my health. I now worry more about my kids' and husband's nutrition and health. I now look forward to buying new clothes and love that I don't have to shop in the plus size section. I don't get winded tying my shoes or climbing a flight of stairs. I now enjoy going for walks and look for opportunities to get in extra exercise. The down side: I have had to buy all new clothes/shoes/bras/underwear, will soon need to get my rings resized before I lose them........can't think of anything else! ![]() There have been many times that I thought about giving up after a short stall or during my sweet cravings. I also had two cheat meals that could have led to cheat days/weeks. However, for the first time in a LONG time I stuck with it and now I know I can get to my goal of 160. With 35 lbs down, I only have 25 to go! This forum has been a huge help for me! The information and encouragement received has been phenomenal and I'm not sure I could have done this without it. Thanks to everyone for sharing your successes, struggles, recipes, food plans, etc. I look forward to reading everyone's posts every day. They are often very motivating and inspiring!! ![]() ![]() ![]()
