week2

I started adkins two weeks ago. So far so good. I lost 13 lbs in the first week! I started at 230 so ive got a lot to lose... I'm concerned about the second week because I lost exactly 0. Did anyone else experience something similar? I know I'm doing it right because otherwise I wouldn't have lost the 13.... ketosis strips are in dark purple....

You're doing great! Yes, the slow down in week 2 is typical for some of us. I tend to lose the first 5 days...a big chunk and that is it for my induction. I lost 14 pounds and don't expect to lose more for a bit. That 13 pounds is terrific

Thanks. I figured that would be it for a while. Too bad we couldn't consistently pull those numbers any idea how long until the scale will move again?

A lot of people seem to "stall" in week three, occasionally wk 4 also. After that it moves at a fairly steady wkly pace. The stalls are our bodies catching up w/the upheaval and adjusting. Don't get frustrated

I stall for 2-3 weeks before losing steadily again. Take a deep breath and stay on plan, you will start losing again.

13lbs in a week is amazing! No wonder why you didn't loose anything in week 2. I usually loose about 7 pounds on week 1 and 7 pounds on week 2 so it's pretty much the same as you but in a longer time period. After that initial drop in the first few weeks it's normal for our bodies to adjust before we start losing again. You are on the right track!

I'm similar to Babycakez - I lose a decent amount week1 and week2. But then sometimes I gain in week 3 or show no loss. My body just needs a moment to adjust. It's a very common thing to have a initial quick drop followed by a post-induction slowdown. Hang in there because it will pass in a week or two. Then you'll be back in the game and losing weight!

And WTG on 13 pounds!! That's incredible!!

Today was tough.... tomatoes tasted really good. Prologue ate too many. Haven't been weighing all week. Trying to hold out till weigh day. Hoping for three lbs this week. Church was good tonight.

Only had breakfast, now making meatloaf for dinner. Wasn't hungry at lunch so I skipped it. Hope that was ok. Keep having thoughts about ice cream. lol I even dreamed about it. Man do I have issues.
