What are the carbs in My morning chocolate drink
I make a hot chocolate drink in the morning that I don't know the carb amount. The heavy whipping cream says 1 carb per Tbls.
I put 2 tsp. Hershey special dark coco in a cup, add 3 tsp. splenda and 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream. To that I fill the Mug with decaf coffee. It is so good I feel I am cheating thinking there are no carbs.

You will need to look on the cocoa label, take the total carb count and subtract the fiber. That will be your net carb for that. The 1/4cup hwc is about 3net carbs. If you are using liquid Splenda there are no carbs in it. For every powdered packet of Splenda that you use, you will need to add 1net carb.
It looks like you are just starting out. It would be helpful to you to purchase a carb count book or do some online research for the things you eat the most. Labels on food packages are your best friend.

2 tsp cocoa: about two carbs
3 tsp splenda: 1.5 carbs
There's four tablespoons in 1/4 cup so: 4 carbs
Some people would deduct the fiber in the cocoa and if you do, that lowers it a bit.

Well if your cream is 1 carb per tablespoon and you're using 1/4 cup, that's 4g carbs by itself.
2tsp hersheys special dark is 1g carbs per teaspoon (if you "net" it's about .5g) -so another 2g there.
3tsp splenda powder is about 1.5g carbs so your drink is roughly 7.5g carbs total (without deducting fiber or rounding up/down the cream).

The recipe calculator I use gives 5.2 grams of carbs, minus 1.1 g of fiber (so 4.1 g net carbs). You can reduce the carbs by using liquid stevia or splenda. 4 T of heavy cream has 1.7 g of carbs (use a good online calculator; don't use the estimates on the back of labels, since they round up or down and it's hard to be accurate).

curious what the confusion was, Barb. was it not knowing that there are 4 tablespoons in a quarter cup? I can sympathize, measurements can be confusing.

I don't think the heavy whipping cream is actually 1 gram per tbsp... I think they rounded up, unless there is some other ingredient other than cream... a whole cup of HWC is 6.6 carbs... so 1/4 of that is 1.65 carbs.
Edited to add... I just saw that Tiva also came up with the same number using an online source.
