Yes..it's and ud for me too...haven't decided on the menu yet..but, Adi, I have a question for you..I am doing something wrong when I mix the gluco with broth .
I mix about half a tsp. in cold water, then stir it in the hot soup or broth..but it keeps on clumping...what am I doing wrong?...thanks.

Jaymar, Yam Yam gives this advice on another thread:

I read somewhere that it does not do too well if you add it to hot liquid.

So, if I want it in something hot, I first put the cold liquid in a blender (I have a Magic Bullet), then add the gluc and give it a spin. Then when you heat it, it won't clump. But it does get very thick!

My favorite (cold) protein shake right now is to pour a serving of chocolate Muscle Milk Light into the Magic Bullet and add 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of gluc powder and some crushed ice. It comes out like a thick, creamy milk shake.

I have a 1:30 physical so wont be eating until afterwards.

First stop after leaving the physician = Wendy's large chili and a small frosti.

Dinner - most likely steak, baked sweet potato and salad with light dressing.

I sprinkle the gluc on the hot broth and whisk it in with a tiny whisk or a fork a little at at time. Sprinkle a tiny amount, whisk and reapeat until it all incorporated. No clumps for me that way. I have never mixed it anything cold.

Lord, I seem to be going into a UUAD. I haven't had one of these in a long time. Just finished an Almond Joy, and this is after 3 pieces of chocolate candy and a sausage biscuit and tater tots.

York: Where did you buy the breakfast? You can check their site for more accuracy.

OOps, Yoko, not York! Glad you checked, so you can have more for lunch now! I've decided to skip lunch. I'm full anyway (should be after 1000 calories LOL), and I want wine tonight. hee hee

I just came back to post that this day seems to be spiraling out of control for me and see a couple of us (librarygirl and Jbinme) are struggling with an UUAD today too.

Already today I've eaten:
hollowed out bagel with cream cheese (300)
half a piece of apple cake (150)
some pop chips (130)
a couple of chocolates (120)
1 brownie bite (120)
1 cinnamon bun bite (130)

Ugh - that's 950 cals before lunch!!! And sugar seems to be the theme. I think I will nuke some broccoli later when all these carbs backfire and make me starving and then try to hang on for a nice dinner to salvage the day. Drinking tons of water now. Help!!!

something is in the water today!!!!

I had a subway sandwich for breakfast 800 calories and then got talked into going to a teryiaki grill place for lunch......oh boy!! I have to be at 2000 calories for today if not more. I made white chicken chili last night so I will probably eat some of that tonight for about 500 calories. The good news is that my ud cal # is 2471. I will probably be over, but not too much, at least I hope so!

Bagels are a trigger food for me. When I start off the day with a bagel it always seems to go downhill. Why aren't I smarter or stronger??

I'm going to roast some broccoli and have a low calorie frozen dinner later. Until then I'm staying out of the kitchen! We can do this. I'm also going to drink lots if water the rest of the day.

Adi, thanks for the tip on the gluco..I've tried it different ways and still made a mess, but...I think you may have the golden touch.

I just got through gobbling down a plate of fried oysters and shrimp. Skipping lunch did me no favors. Oh well, I'll know not to indulge in a high calorie breakfast from now on, because it does not curtail the rest of my eating for the day at all.

That was kelly. I do drink beer sometimes, usually if we play golf. I mean I ride and drink. I was planning on a little wine tonight though, but I try not to drink very much these days.

OOPS,..sorry..skelly, ..please do enjoy your pint of beer...I used to love the taste of a cold beer with pizza...and Cindy, ..not to worry..tomorrow is another day..and we learn as we go...I had the hardest time doing dd's if I ate anything in the mornings....and then I noticed..oh no..it's the same for me on ud's too.
I try not to eat too early or else I just can't do it at all..it's a learning process of what works for each of us...and we are learning..I am learning things that I never would have dreamed would be so helpful..I never had a chance to learn things about myself in the past because of all the things I'd been taught..I was always starving and starving..and then boom..I couldn't do it anymore..I may have a bad day now and then, but overall...it's progress.

Yes it was one of those days.

French fries and white wine at the pub. (Quite a lot of them.)

Chicken and ham pie with carrots and broccoli and onion gravy.
