Back to basics with 30lbs to go!

Hey Everyone... been gone awhile. Life sort of got in the way of my focus, but now with nearly 20 pounds back on I need to do this right. I started Atkins just over 2 years ago and lost almost 30 pounds within 6 months or so. I kept it off for more than a year, but have slipped... not back into eating carbs, but just eating too much low carb food. Portion control is my problem.

Thank you! I had a good day, under 20 grams of carbs, but still was over 2000 calories. Portion control is my nemesis! Tomorrow will be a bit harder because we are having a wine and cheese going away at the office. Just one glass of wine won't kill me and a little cheese tasting... still low carb, hope I have the strength to keep it to just tastes!!

Hi Shannon! I think we started together 2 years ago, well, life got in the way for me too. I have moved back to Australia now and after being here for 6 months I feel like the weight has to come off. Again. Well, I did so well for so long and then it crept back up and BANG, back up to over 200lbs.

I am doing OK, started for 3 days, then two days of travel so bingo, off plan. Restart last Monday and lost about 4lbs in 5 days. Feel great, looking better, and we're going away for 2 nights and I am looking forward to posting my weekend of on plan eating.

I am taking my food with me for the family and myself, so I am in control. Got my meat and eggs and olive oil all ready for the esky.

OK, hope you did alright at the tasting!
