This is sugar. Correct?? So the first ingredient in sugar free jello is maltdextrose. How can they say this is sugar free!! Your body turns it right to sugar.

Any suggestions on jello without sugar

According to wikipedia, it is made from many chains of glucose. SF Jello says it is "low calorie," not calorie-free. Maltodextrin is really more of a starch than a sugar, which is how the jello can be labeled as sugar free. But it still instigates an insulin response.

I make my own with Kool Aid and Knox gelatin and liquid sucralose because I can't have aspartame. The recipe is on Linda Sue's recipe site under desserts and called No Carb Jello.
