Interesting article worth the read. Basically says that our human ancestors who ate paleo (which is also low carb) had good healthy teeth and gums, and only since man began to farm grains did tooth decay and gum disease become a problem.

Thanks for posting Taxbane. Shortly after going LC, I watched a documentary on Machu Picchu. That was an A-HA moment when they showed the skulls that were found with beautiful teeth!
I remember as a kid the Crest toothpaste commercials... Look Ma, I only had 2 cavities!
Why was that OK?
Chewing gum went sugar free, but we were eating captain crunch and fruit loops and Pringles!
