New here

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and I am very excited to begin, but I don't really know where to start. I have read about the shakes but what can I eat durning these 2 weeks. Is there a food list or something of the sort that I can use as a guide. I do appreciate the feed back. thank you

There's great info in the stickied threads, that will give you all the info you need to get started. Most skip using shakes-it's a preference thing
~Sara~ I've gone from size 14 jeans, down to a size 4 with JUDDD/5:2IF! Now in maintenance with 16:8IF and the occasional potato hack. My 3 year maintenance anniversary is in April

October 2015 Blood Work Results
-Total Cholesterol 167: HDL 69 LDL 97
-Cholesterol/HDL Ratio 2.4
no triglycerides number given this time, but blood work this past spring put them at a 49
-Glucose (non-fasting) 87

Start Date: 2/21/12- Low carb (199lbs) 3/28/12 JUDDD (189lbs)
I didn't use the shakes or bars. Dr. J recommends them, I think, because he does not have a lot of faith in people's ability to count accurately. I did use a lot of prepackaged food in the beginning before I got a food scale, which really helps too. I use measuring spoons and cups all the time as well. If you haven't gone to the juddd calculator yet google it and get your UD/DD calories.
JUDDD changed my life. It transformed my health, gave me freedom and restored my confidence.

JUDDD is very simple, very livable and very flexible. JUDDD allows weight loss and life to happen simultaneously.

I had the same question when I started. I went out and bought shakes & bars since the book recommended it, but in the end, I never used them. I just counted calories. It doesn't really matter WHAT you eat, just the calorie counts. If you're good at them, or know what some of your favorite foods calories are, you don't have to use the prepackaged stuff. Try to stick with 500 cals or below on down days and you'll do great! Welcome to you! Post away if you have more questions.

Yup, read through the other newbie threads and the stickies. Then buy a food scale if you don't already have one. And get measuring spoons and cups. Tons of great info here. Welcome aboard. We're a pretty happy bunch!!
