Beef Chuck, Crock pot - now what?

I'm thawing a beef chuck to put in the crock pot tomorrow - I wanted to put some rub on it for overnight but forgot to take it out of the freezer sooner ... should I just still put rub on it and place it in the pot?

Yes. You can put it in partially frozen, too. It will thaw and cook in the crock pot. It will cook in all the seasoning, so letting the rub sit on it overnight probably doesn't make any difference in the resulting flavor.

I love to schmear a frozen roast with crushed garlic and Better Than Bouillon beef bouillon. Low and slow all day. The schmears seep down in to the meat, nested of running off lie liquid. Tasty.

I've never been a huge fan of roast in the crockpot until I tried this little trick.....Place 1 stick of butter on top of roast after you season it. This made the most delicious tender roast I've ever had!! Everything is better with butter!!

I mix Chicken and Mushroom soup 2cans. and 1 pkg of French onion soup mix. and 1 can of water. Mix it all in the crockpot and put roast in. Cook until tender.

Another one I like is/ Ajar of Pepprocini throw in crock pot jusices, too. and put in roast. Cook until tender.
