I'm baaaccckk! LOL After a craptastical December where I ate whatever the fudge I wanted and gained (don't know don't want to know..just know my jeans are tight again) back whatever I lost. I'm gonna start over again.

I am gonna try the infamous tater diet...So
B/l: coffee, 1 medium tater, salt pepper and malt vinegar and a LOT of water
d: baked tater ^rinse repeat the above

s: if i get hungry (which after my food blowout...probably) I will "fry" up a tater

which puts me at about 425 calories for the day!

I'm not sure if I can get some gym time in, but I will try. We'll see how this goes.

Sara, your hot soup sounds better than the spinach salad I had planned for today. I'll add some steamed broccoli to mine for a bit of bulk. Also, where do you find the chocolate rice cakes? I live in the sticks but do have a Walmart 20 miles away, but have never seen the little chocolate rice cakes.

The soup is all canned-Campbells and Progresso make some really great tasting 60-100 calorie soups! I always have at least one serving on my DDs

The rice cakes are something new Aldi is carrying. I'm really surprised at how good they taste and they were cheap

I can't decide this morning. I'm so cold! I'm contemplating having nothing but coffee w/HWC all day, but I may change my mind later and want some eggs. Either way, I want it to be a good, 400ish calorie, high fat DD.

STOP with all talk of chili!!! I'm frozen and really, really don't want to leave my house today. Don't make me go out in the cold people!!! :P

Plan is coffee all morning w/ splashes of sf creamer. Lots of water. Some homemade chicken noodle soup if hungry later on tonight and hot chocolate if needed. We'll see what actually happens.

I was going to get some for lunch but ended up finding a new kind of soup to try at the grocery store I just had it and I have a new DD favorite

It's Lipton brand, boxed soup mixes. They had chicken noodle (50c) and spring vegetable (45c) flavors. It's the kind you add to a cup of water and nuke. I was pleasantly surprised and how good the chicken noodle tasted and it's 10 calories less than the lowest calorie soup I had been buying. The directions called for 3/4c water but I added 1c and it tasted fine. But the best thing is the cost-$1.34 per box=.34 each serving. I was paying $2.06 for a two serving can of soup, so a much budget friendlier option

Thanks Sara. I love the Progresso Light soups too. In fact, since my last post I opened a can of the Southwestern Style Vegetable soup and added 3 cups of sliced and steamed cabbage to it, and some cayenne and cumin. I'll eat half of it for lunch and save the other half for my next DD. Sadly though, we don't have Aldi's here.

My preferred veggie to add to the soup is broccoli, but I'm out and it's WAY too cold outside to go anywhere unless absolutely necessary, so I settled for cabbage today.

Ooh, neato on the new soup! I haven't really experimented yet with DD foods. I'll have to look for some of the Lipton you're talking about. I am hoping my homemade version from last night's dinner won't be too many cals. I guess I'll sort through the egg noodles & chicken for the veggies & broth later! (getting hungry! So far only coffee & just now hot cocoa!)

Mmmm, hershey kisses - love those! I had some peppermint hershey kisses at Christmas - although I don't usually like white chocolate, it was divine! I would never eat that on a dd though, the hunger monster would tear me from limb to limb, lol!

Today:
Coffee
Scandinavian Bran Crispbread spread with Walden Farms marshmallow dip
Egg White
I've been hitting 150-200 cal lately, still eating hourly mini-meals. Last dd I fasted until dinner and ate an egg, hoping that would help me sleep - it did not. So, back to the mini-meals.

Okay, I skipped breakfast, had my chili for lunch, and think I have a plan for the rest of the day.

D: 4 oz. ground venison with horseradish mustard (120)
S: after exercise--Jay Robb eggwhite protein shake (120)

That will put me at 450 for the day, and I intend to burn more than 500 calories at the gym, so a negative calorie day. Woohoo!

I got all my DD calories in a filling breakfast, and will fast the rest of the day/night. I ate 2 eggs scrambled with baby kale & spinach, and 2 sausage patties. I also drank coffee with a teaspoon of hwc.

It's been 6 hours since breakfast, and I'm not the least bit hungry.

I started taking resveratrol yesterday and I feel full longer. Maybe its my imagination so I'll keep monitoring this.

B - 1 HB egg, 2 bacon, 4 oz tomato juice, black coffee - 175

L - 2 oz leftover ham, 2 oz cantalope - 110

D - chicken broth, small green salad with o/v dressing 75

360 cals for the day.

Trying to keep cals low and have a good weigh tomorrow!

Just made my supper for tonight. One envelope of chicken gravy, one drained can of chop suey veggies, 4 ounces of leftover roast chicken and a bit of soy sauce. Total calories is 373. I'll eat half tonight and the other half Saturday night. VERY good and very comforting on a cold day like today.

So far today I've just had 2 cups of coffee w/ a splash of creamer & truvia. and half a candy cane

JayLynn, I take resveratrol on DDs and it really does seem to control hunger for me. I only take it on DDs--it lasts longer and I really don't need hunger control on UDs.

Today my DD menu was:
Tea with milk (I really don't count or measure the milk, it's not much, but I drink the tea all day. So maybe a half a cup of milk for the whole day) (60?)
1/2 a thin crust pizza (390)
1 cup brussels sprouts (? not much)

I'm in maintenance so I can have up to 900 calories on a down day, so as long as I'm well under that, it's a win. Today was a huge win because I didn't eat anything until 7 pm. Used to be I could manage to make it to 4 pm before being ravenous, but I was relaxed and it was easy and wonderful. Yay JUDDD!!

!
Hi Luna, I started yesterday so I've taken it on DD and UD. I'd heard about it before but read about it on Dr J's site and hope to reap some of the benefits he explains like heart health and helping the aging process. Controlling appetite seems to be an added benefit too. Most DD.s I do okay but find myself thinking about food a lot and that bugs me. I want to get where feeling hungry is what reminds me of food, not having it constantly on my mind. So with the R I feel like I've had food on my mind less but I'll start paying closer attention. Hmmmm how's this going to work if my intention is trying to not thinking about food.......
