Crack Slaw recipe

I made a big pot of crack slaw this afternoon to freeze for later this week. I came up with a recipe that sounds a bit strange, but I really liked it!

I browned a pound of ground beef and 1/2 pound maple flavored breakfast sausage...sounds weird, but its a subtle flavor. After draining, I added a pound of shredded slaw mix and a 12 oz bag of broccoli slaw. While it was cooking, I put together a sauce of 1/2 c. low sodium soy sauce, a shake of garlic salt, 3 T. cider vinegar and 3 T sugar free honey. I heated the sauce to assure the honey melted, then poured it over the cabbage/meat mixture. Cooked it for about 10 minutes. It has a sweet/sour flavor I have been missing since I got serious about low carb.

This makes 6 two cup servings. Each serving has approximately 6.5 carbs. Didn't do a calorie count.

I love crack slaw!!!

Grated fresh ginger is really good in crack slaw too if you like it.
