Has anyone seen these or tried these? I ordered some and they should be in soon. Im kinda excited. I read that some people use them as sandwich wraps. Im kinda wondering if I can deep fry them like eggrolls. So any thoughts.

I googled them, they look interesting (The Pure Wraps is the only brand I saw).
I did look at a few places that sell them. $4.99 + shipping for 4 small pieces seems a bit high.
A photo of a recipe using them shows them to be about the size of a small eggroll wrapper, so pretty small.
Please review them if you order them
will be interesting to see how they are.

SO I had my first wrap with eggs, sausage, and cheese they weren't bad, Not too sweet and I think they will be great as spring rolls.

I tried them at a conference and thought they were pretty good but WAY too pricey for my budget.

Frankly, a won ton wrapper you can buy at any Asian market and many grocery stores has only 9 gm of carbs--one more gram of carbs for a lot less money, but I won't eat those because of the wheat (I do allow myself one eggroll on the rare occasion when we eat out at a Chinese restaurant).

If you google coconut tortillas, you get lots of recipes for pretty much the same thing--but they cost pennies apiece to make yourself.

I tried one recipe, but we were out of eggs, so it tasted good but crumbled apart.

Nmcowgurl, what brand did you get?

I Googled & am looking at the same ones dottie found - Improv'eat Pure Wraps. Here is a bit more info on them:
  • The Bread or Tortilla Alternative
  • Gluten-free, Raw, Alkaline
  • Convenient for Work, School and Travel
  • Do Not Refrigerate or Freeze
  • Simple and pure ingredients: Coconut meat, Coconut water, Himalayan salt (and Certified Organic Curry for Curry)

Improv’eat avoids using many popular procedures and/or ingredients (which include major food allergens) that could subtract from the health of our customers.

For nutritional and safety reasons, we do not use the following:
  1. Artificial sweeteners or refined sugar including NutraSweet® (Aspartame), Sweet N Low® (Saccharin), Splenda® (Sucralose) or High Fructose Corn Syrup among others
  2. Trans-fatty acids (Hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils)
  3. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)
  4. Canola, Soybean, Cottonseed, Corn, Peanut or Synthetic Oils
  5. MSG or MSG-like substances, preservatives, artificial colors or "natural flavors"
  6. Wheat, rye, barley or other gluten containing derivatives
  7. Unfermented soy or any pasteurized food
  8. Microwaves or other detrimental heating procedures
  9. Shellfish or scavenger fish of any kind
  10. Pork

I'm impressed by the ingredients but I'm not sure I want that many carbs in a wrap. At $4.99 for a package of 4 it is too expensive for me but if I could find a good price I might be convinced to work them in.
