DD Coffee and Cocoa ideas-let's spice things up!

It looks like a lot of us drink coffee and hot cocoa on our DDs I thought it would be fun to post all the ways we mix things up, that are DD friendly

Things I do with my diet hot cocoa-

add a serving of cool whip-25 calories
add a serving of Davinci sf syrup (I have the raspberry kind-so good!) 0 calories
add 1 or 2 drops of peppermint extract (use sparingly!!!) 0 calories

What extras to you add to your coffee or cocoa?

I've added cinnamon to my coffee before. Been awhile since I've done that though.

I bet cinnamon would taste good in cocoa too I'll have to try that one next!

Same here- haven't done it in a while, but it was tasty.

I haven't done this recently either, but I have some yummy flavor Capella drops and I have added that as well. 1 drop will do!

when I was at aldi's they have the holiday flavored coffees and I splurged on it for me. I got pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha. I got the creamers to match. That will hold me over for a while.

I noramlly drink my coffee black. But once in a while I add cinnamin or pumpkin pie seasoning, or apple pie seasoning to the coffee grounds. Not often because hubby hates flavored coffees. But when its just me on the weekends, you know lol!!!

I add cinnamon regularly and like the SF peppermint mocha creamer...recently bought half and half and will be using that on DD's instead of HWC, 40 cals for 2 T.

I have the 25 calorie swiss miss diet hot cocoa. I used half a packet= 18 calories and added some black coffee. It was pretty good.

A heads up-I just discovered that Reddi Whip whipped cream (kind in a can) has 15 calories per serving, compared to the 25 calories in Cool Whip

I've been having morning mochas ever since I can remember. When I began LCing years ago I had to find an alternative to the every day drive through Starbucks.

I found Hood carbsmart chocolate milk, 1 cup has 80 cals, 6 carbs, 2g fiber.

I use 6 oz in my drink, making it 60 cal, 4.5, carb, 1.5 fiber.

I make espresso, add the Hood and a little Walden sf chocolate syrup.

On DD I add 1 TB HWC 60 cal, so thats 120 cal total.

On UD I stir in about a TB of HWC 60 cal plus a TB of CO 100 cal. 220 total.

YUMMM

hope my math is right lol

Thanks for info.
I m a coffee lover, stronger the better. But can't live on all that caffeine, get the shakes.
So
For years on end, I have drank hot water in my coffee cup.
It starts in the late afternoon thru evening.
Lately I've started adding a green tea bag, different tea bag flavor in my cup.
One tea bag a day is all use. I get every drop of life out of that poor t bag.
It's comforting, no calories, I get to hold something warm in my hands especially nice since fall/winter season here. Had to share that weirdness.

This isn't either coffee or cocoa, but just in case it might be enjoyable for anyone.....

I occasionally put 4 ice cubes in a drinking glass, pour in a cup of Mr. & Mrs. T's Original Bloody Mary Mix, add a couple of dill pickle spears, and enjoy an alcohol-free Bloody Mary, only about 55 calories with the two dill pickle spears.

I only thought to mention it because.. I'm having one of those right now.

If it were an Up Day, I'd be doing that for sure! But, alas.. on a DD, I resist. Especially if I don't have very many calories left for the rest of my evening meal and snack!

For those who are OK with soy products, I love the Westsoy brand "Soy Slender" soy milk in chocolate flavor for coffee. It's only 70 calories a cup and so you can put a nice 1/4 cup in your coffee for only 18 calories (and almost no fat or carbs). I've gotten so I'd rather have it than anything else in my coffee.
