Back and raring to go!

Hello everyone! I am back on the wagon as of 4 days ago. Fell off this summer when I was getting ready to send my daughter off to college. She goes to the military academy portion of Virginia Tech and I can't even describe the stress I have been under. What did we learn about ourselves this summer? I learned I am a stress eater. Big time! Why can't I be like my sister who can't "bear to eat" when she's stressed? Anyhow.....

I am still stressed, but it's a little more manageable now. I have tried about 5 times to jump back on the wagon but couldn't make it through a DD without completely blowing it at dinner time. I didn't want to officially come back until I could make it through two good DDs. AND I DID! WOO! That was a huge accomplishment!

This board was so important for me when I was solidly on the wagon. I managed to lose 13 pounds......then gained back all but 5. I am determined to stay the course now and look forward to reconnecting and meeting new people!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!

I am a little concerned about the upcoming holiday as we have 20 people coming into town (STAYING WITH US!) for Thanksgiving. I will do my very best, but keeping the rotations is going to be rough. I don't want to completely blow it and then start over after the holiday, but perhaps just aim for keeping it contained and not just free-for-all food and drink fest! HA!

You could also consider going up to maintenance level percentages for the holidays (or just the few days directly involved) so it wouldn't be an all-out crazy food fest and you'd still be keeping to rotations. Just something to think about if you know that it might be tough to be 100% strict during that time.

Did I read 20? Staying with you? Do you live in a castle, lol.

I agree with Vil, this is a time to look at the maintenance calorie levels and make them work for you. Holidays on JUDDD are wonderful.

Welcome, Monica! Sounds like Thanksgiving week will have challenges. Even if you don't keep strict UDDD rotations, you can just fall back in after all the floppers leave
