Is this weird?

On Thursday night around 9pm I had my bedtime snack and went to bed. Yesterday, Friday, I didn't feel too great- funny tummy- as was very busy all day at work, so did not have my celery or coffee. Last evening I came home and felt so I made coffee. I took a sip and spilled it out- yuck. I fell asleep last night with out having bedtime snack, so yesterday was 0 calories. I woke up at 9:30am which is so late for me. Welcome TOM. At 10:15am I made a little 210 calorie microwave meal. I couldn't even eat half of it. What's up with that?
Now DW is saying "Are you trying to starve yourself?"

I think it's your body being really, really smart. It's a good sign. You're using your natural "get-over-it-quick" tool.

I never fully get sick these days - I get a little yucky/run down, lose my appetite, and then in a few days am back to normal. I believe it's another facet of JUDDD magic.

Carly, I hope you're not coming down with something! But I think I know what you mean. I've had a couple of "really not hungry" UDs, where I actually wish it was a DD so I wouldn't have to mess with/worry about food. I stress a little when I think I may not be able to get my UD calories in. I don't want the old metabolism to go into starvation and all that.

On the other hand, I really believe in "listen to your body". If on a DD I feel like I HAVE to eat something to feel comfortable, I want to be able to do that. On an UD, if my tum is saying "I don't think so" I think I should respect that.

I don't think you're trying to starve yourself. I think there's something temporary going on with your body, and it's trying to tell you something. It may have to do with TOM. Mostly, TOM makes me want to eat, but there have been times when it just makes me feel .

Take it easy. Listen to what you're body's telling you. I'm sure in a day or two, you'll be back on your normal schedule. Feel better, my friend.

Lynne, you have a very good point. I don't think I have been sick since my 2nd or 3rd UD. That was end of March/ beginning of April. I've only needed 1 sick day in all that time and that was TOM related!

That's amazing, Carly!

This is my first year being "bulletproof" through the first month of the new school year (I have an 8 year old - elementary schools are incubators of the latest ick-bugs, right?). Thanks JUDDD, I could really get used to this!!

Lynne

I my patients frequently have the lastest ick-bug, but they come to therapy anyway! 10 years of hospital work started to build my iron immune system, but JUDDD has helped!

When my body tells me not to eat, I try to stay hydrated and hope I can starve the icky-bug into submission.

Carly, you and a lot of other people have been under a lot of stress recently. Viruses and bacteria are running wild and immune systems are struggling. Take care of yourself.

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Thank you ladies
I don't think I'm actually sick, but I probably am run down a bit.
TOM arrived and my pain has really escalated over the last few weeks and drastically over the last 5 days
I know the constant pain wares on me and I know I have to get in to see my spine surgeon. I refuse to consider surgery so I keep saying why go to the surgeon if there is no way you will consider surgery. Right? He will either say "Nothing I can do" or he'll say "We really should operate"- so I keep not going

Okay! Why am I envious?
You're feelin' off. You can't eat.
When I'm that way I eat everything.
It's just not fair. It just stinks!

Oh, the injustice. Oh, the injustice.
If I were like you.
I'd be skinny too.
Oh, the injustice. Oh, the injustice, blues.

(Tongue in cheek. I couldn't resist.)

hang in there dear heart.
my family had a bug that lasted about two weeks. no hunger, everything tasted bad or wrong. headache, fever, and vertigo that came and went in an annoying cycle. Never really felt "sick" barring the fever. stick it out and try to get some good nutrition in even when the food doesn't appeal to you.
long distance, non germ spreading hugs!
