Coming back to JUDDD

Hiya

I've been gone for a few months trying different things and it's been a roller-coaster. I've been sick with a mystery illness but have solved it now and it looks like I'm celiac. I've been gluten free now for 2 weeks and feel much better but finding it difficult and have been eating too many m&m's and coke!! So I've decided to come back to this very happy place and get my weight moving downwards again I start tomorrow with a down day and I'm excited because above all I have more energy now and my cravings are easier to control. Now I just need to make my diet healthier with more fruits and veg.

So good to see you back. I am glad that you have solved your health issues, though going Gluten Free is not easy I know. My BIL has to stay clear of Gluten and boy it hides everywhere.

thanks guys! I've only started making things again in the last week because I've had no energy. I even ended up in hospital because I felt soo sick. It's quiet an adjustment for me and it's funny because I've done every other diet, low carb, low fat but never gluten free so I'm still learning what I can and can't eat. The bakery here does oatmeal bread which is delicious and there is not a bad selection of things in the supermarket either. Luckily I live in a country that has one of the highest rates of celiac in europe. My birthday is in December and I just want to look good, I'm not looking for extreme results. Whatever I loose is whatever I loose no stress no fuss! But it's great to be back!

Hi Majella! Glad to meet you. I'm new here since early September and am loving JUDDD. I'm so happy you have gotten the diagnosis and can now avoid the problem foods. I have a cousin with celiac, and it is just so hard. Good luck to you!

Thanks Dawn, I got bored with my own colour and went and bleached it myself! But it came out good. I had a good DD yesterday came it at 750 calories which is ok for my first DD. Feel less hungry today thankfully. I also feel more positive I can't wait to loose some weight!!

Magella, welcome back. I also love your hair and am amazed you did it yourself. Feel free to teach the rest of us. (I cut my own hair for the first time recently, with mixed results)

You know, this may be the answer for me too. My first 50+ pounds were lost when I went GF several years ago. I have not been diagnosed as Celiac but with wheat and dairy sensitivities and since reintroducing them two years ago, I have been stuggling up and down with the same 15 pounds. It may just be that the GF diet was naturally lower in carbs because I didn't eat a lot of GF substitute products. If I ate brown rice pasta, I never felt compelled to overeat. Maybe there is hope if I can just get the bread out of my life again.
