BULLET PROOF COFFEE HAS LURED ME OUT OF LURKDOM....

Hi Everyone -

I've been following your threads for a while now, and have been giving JUDDD a try. I initially went a bit crazy on my up days, and struggled with my down days, (and as a result have not lost any weight) and every time I've felt discouraged I'd read your stories here and decided to keep plugging along. My bf & I rented a house at the beach for a week next summer and I'd love to be down at least 25 lbs. by then which I know is doable if I stick to this.

I tend not to post much, but had to today, to say that I finally tried the bullet proof coffee & LOVE it! Don't know if I want to use the calories on a DD, but today is an UD and I had 2 cups for breakfast.

You are all so inspiring....

coffee, coconut oil & butter in the blender. It gets frothy & delicious. I used 1/2 T each of the CO (extra virgin, it tastes like coconut) & butter.

There is lots of info on the JUDDD board about it.

Welcome out of the lurk, Mella!

Some people manage on a DD with just 1tsp butter and 1tsp CO in the BPC, and it comes to about 70 cal for that amount, so you could try that on a DD and see if it works.

Here's another big thread about trying BPC: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ju...of-coffee.html

Hi Mella, and ! Glad to have you join in. I am sipping on a BPC right now, on this DD morning. I used 1T each of CO and unsalted butter, a nice shot of SF Pumpkin Spice syrup, and a drop of liquid sucralose. YUM!

When I have BPC and nothing else on a DD morning, I don't count the calories in my total (gasp!). Then I don't eat anything until dinner, and it hasn't hurt my losses at all. In fact, this is the first time I've done this for about 2 weeks. Before when I did it, I was losing quite fast. I'm re-trying high fat DDs, as that really worked for me last month. I've slowed down quite a bit since my TOM, and I'm ready to gear up again.

So glad you're enjoying your BPC, and good luck with your losses. Don't hesitate to post whenever you feel like it.

Mella!

Glad you de-lurked!

LoCarbGal, I would love to know about this pumpkin spice syrup, is it DaVinci?

Thanks!

Rock on!

I'm someone who makes the 70 calorie bulletproof coffee and it sometimes lasts me all day. (Yesterday, that's all I had on my DD.) And note, I am not a relatively skinny person who is just trying to shed ten pounds. I'm a big girl with a huge appetite, so this is nothing short of miraculous IMO.

I hope it continues to help you on this WOE!

Sunday, it's Torani. It's really good, but it takes several pumps to really up the flavor to the level I like in the coffee. Maybe too subtle a flavor for the strong coffee I favor. I put a little in some pumpkin spice tea I already had, and it was really good there too.
