I have been hearing about Fat Bombs but I cannot find a recipe on them. Everyone says how good they are. What are they and how do you make them? Thanks!!

I used 8 oz. natural peanut butter, 8 oz. coconut oil, one stick of butter and sweetener of your choice to taste. Poured them in mini-muffin and shaved a very small amount of 85% dark chocolate over the top.

It took 3-4 before I fell in love with them. I was almost expecting a peanut butter cup texture and it was more a stick of butter texture. It took a bit to "accept" the texture, but now I love them!

Definitely try adding cocoa to them.

How many carbs are in these? Will they cause a stall on weight loss? I don't have a problem with diet sodas or anything like that.... as far as I know... LOL!! But low carb does cause cravings for me!!!

I make mine a bit different. A little higher carb but I couldn't get adjust to the "butter" taste. I add 4 oz cream cheese, only 2 tbs butter, 9 tbs natural pb, and 65 drops of stevia, and 3/4 c coconut oil. I also shave a 1/4 c unsweetened chocolate and add while it is melting. I get 24 and freeze the works. So good.

Mine claim to have 1.7 carbs per serving, using granulated Splenda or Erythritol.

I did 1/2 cup each of butter, sunbutter, and coconut oil. 1/4 cup Erythritol, 1 tsp vanilla extract, maybe 1/3 cup, and a 1/4 tsp stevia liquid. Taste's like nutty taffy

So are these meant to be eaten as a dessert, as a treat, or purely for the health benefits? If you added some protein powder they almost sound like a protein bar recipe I've used in the past.

All of the above, depending on your plan. Mine aren't super sweet, so I'm using them mainly to up my dietary fat and get my daily coconut oil. But they also quench the sweet itch and promote satiety (fat is a major cue for leptin and doesn't impact insulin as much as carbs or protein). They're also useful calories in a pinch, just like a protein bar. So mine is a healthful supplement/dessert

I have my recipe on my lc blog, but don't know if I'm allowed to post a link yet, since I'm still new. I use cashew butter, coconut butter, butter, walnuts, splenda and baking cocoa. They work out to around 1g sugar and 5g carbs per piece. Soooo good!

I got 39 servings out of mine and they came in at just under 1 carb each. I used mini muffin cups.

Here ya go

-3/4 cup coconut butter, melted
-9.5tbsp cashew butter
-3tbsp cocoa powder
-1 stick butter, melted
-1 small package walnuts (the small snack size kind-I'll check the ounces next time I make them)
-12 pkts splenda (or whatever sweetener you have-add to taste)

Mix together well and put in a candy mold. Before doing this though put mold on a cookie sheet!

Put in freezer for 30 minutes. Take pieces out of the mold and transfer to a freezer safe container/ziplock bag. Store in freezer.

Now, I'm horrible at math so double check when you make them-but if I figured it out right:

Nutrional breakdown for 1 piece:
5 carbs (rounded up)
1 gram sugar (rounded up)

I'm making a new batch tomorrow Each piece is approximately 2tbsp worth of mixture, to give you an idea of what size my mold is.

I BELIEVE I'm correct in this - you can post a link to your blog in your signature line - what you CAN'T do is redirect people from here to your blog in order to see a recipe.

You CAN post the recipe here though (and we all appreciate it!) and then just put your general blog link in your siggy line here.

And if I'm wrong, please Mods, correct me!

I don't think I've been a member long enough to have a siggy? I thought there was a wait (but I'll double check!)

I made lemon bombs this time, and I used one stick of unsalted butter, 8 oz of cream cheese, 1/4 c. Splenda, and squeezed lemon juice from half of a lemon. Pretty darn good! The trick to them not tasting like a frozen chunk of lard is to let them sit for about 10-15 min. out of the freezer before eating. (oh freeze them after you make them for at least an hour...I keep mine in the freezer and take out 1 or 2 as I want). The simpler you make them, the lower the carbs. The lemon juice adds carbs but the butter is 0, and cream cheese is minimal.

Sounds good, Buffy. I think I'd add a couple tbsp. cocoa to it also. I'm just such a chocoholic I think I need it in everything!
