When Your DH is "Out Of Sorts" do you reach for the sweets?

This afternoon it happened Silence is golden until dinner and he said the beans were not any good ( I did toss them out along with the other garbage when I cleared the table ). As I walked out side to dump this stuff I took along some "candy I had hide in a dresser drawer " it was 240 calories!! Then DH went for a walk and I ate some of his favorite candy - 200 calories! Sure glad it is a UD!

Just now he opened a beer and gave me half so all is right once again!

But it did make me smile and laugh!

Tomorrow it will be a 500 calories DD!

Thanks For Listening All!

Been there, done that.

What I find interesting (applied to me) is I no longer think about sweets/carbs/food during big crises. It is the smaller irritants that make me want to reach for the dark chocolate ... or braid DH's tounge.

PJ, do you remember that wonderful episode of Six Feet Under?
Whenever my lovely man is off the rails, or more often, when i am off the rails and blaming it on him, I ask him if he's seen the cast iron frying pan.

Just to clarify there are no gender inequities here. I wouldn't dare dent my good T-fal on my DW's hard head and also enjoyed the visual of braiding her tongue in a time of need!!!
