DD Wednesday - What's the menu"

DD
B - 2 eggs with 1 T SF preserves, coffee with HWC (210)
L - 3 slices Bryan turkey with one pickle spear wrapped in loose leaf lettuce (100)
D - HB egg

I believe in keeping it simple and I do not cook (other than the eggs) on a DD. Easier for me to maintain low calories and boring is good too. DD's have never been my problem and I worry when I read about others struggling with low calories on DD's. UD's are my nemesis. But I deal with them in my own way.
JUDDD works but we have to follow the plan which is very very simple. Over thinking can be a problem in my humble little worthless opinion. Good luck to all that are struggling.

Great reminder, Adi! I really am trying to get my DDs as simple and rote as possible. With that said, today will be unusual as I am meeting a friend at Panera for dinner. Very easy to make good choices (well, and bad ones) there though. I could get this lower if I chose items I didn't particularly care for too.

B: one egg, 1/2 teaspoon bacon grease 89
L: 1 cup tomato soup 90
D: Panera "You Pick Two"
half smoked turkey breast on coutry bread sandwich 210
half caesar salad 160

total of 549

DD here. Should have been an UD but yesterday got off track.
Fasting most of the day, just black coffee, green tea and water.
When I get hungry, very lean ground beef/cabbage/rotel/beef broth.

I read somewhere in my many diet books that a boring menu is good for weightloss as well as a bland diet. Seems if it tastes good we want more. That is why I use a lot of eggs. Bland and I can only eat ONE HB egg. I have never eaten more than one at any one time.
Plus the same menu day in and day out is easy for me to always be prepared for. That is unless DH eats all of my pickles and "forgets" to mention we are out.

I agree Adi. I stick to the same things often. Now and then I will finally get tired of something and find something to replace it with. I think I will be switching to soups soon. Smoothies are refreshing and satisfying in the warm weather but not so much when it's cold. LOL

I've been stuck on the scale for a few weeks, so I'm going to try to keep this day ultra low and see if it helps. I'll probably just have coffee until I get home from work. I haven't figured out dinner. It will probably be something with eggs.

Happily a DD here-- after basically all UDs for 4 days

B: mango chili green tea (iced)
L: 1 laughing cow triangle, 2 turkey pepperettes (125 total)
s: not sure, but I have permission from myself to up my calories if I need to-- sometimes the first DD back is tough

D: so far I'm thinking a chicken breast, and maybe boiled radishes with a bit of butter and chives

Dessert: frozen almond milk

shooting for 500, but could be 600 or 700 and I'm ok with that.

I think that's true-nothing on my DD menus (except maybe the yogurt) is something that I love to eat. I'm going for filling, and at least edible, not yummy/tasty.

I'm the opposite, if I eat foods I don't enjoy, I am starving all day.

Breakfast - another eggwhite omelet in a turkey slice (70 cal)
Snack - smoothie - 43 calories
Lunch - Half of my huge salad - about 50 calories
Expect to eat the other half for a snack later on - another 50 calories
Cup of broth turned into creamed celery soup - unsure of the calories on this one, since it's home-made broth, so I'm over-estimating 50
Dinner - the last of my cabbage stuff - about 100 calories
Post-Dinner Snack - not sure yet! With this plan, I'll have about 50 calories remaining though.

OK, I lied - didn't eat the soup, and I changed my dinner.. I toasted a low carb tortilla (50 cal) and stuffed it with 1 wedge laughing cow (35) a handful of lettuce (umm- 4 maybe?) and half of a pickle (?) along with 1.5 ounces of boneless skinless chicken breast (sources differ, I'm calling it 50 cal) for a total of 140 calories or so. Yikes for one meal, but boy was it filling and satisfying and good! My total for today is now at: 353 - I have about 50 calories left! YAY!

Now I can spend the next 3 hours before bedtime pondering on my last 50 calorie snack of the day..
1/2 a slice of turkey lunchmeat (15 cal)
1/2 a wedge of Laughing Cow (17 cal)
1/2 a Wasa Light (15 cal)
1/4 pickle to round it out
SOUNDS GOOD!

Oof! maybe i should move this to the Thursday thread. I am actually hungry today for the first time on a DD. I usually wait to have "breakfast" until about 3 or 4 pm, but today my stomach was not kidding around!

Coffee w/ 4 tbsp 1/1&1/2

Breakfast- Half of a low carb tortilla with 2 slices of hard salami and 1/4 tsp mayo, with spinach leaves.

Lunch- HB egg

Dinner- Same as breakfast to use the other half of the wrap.

Approx 388 cals

I have not had any kind of UD today, can't seem to eat. I still have about 900 calories to get in, after my planned dinner. It may be a night for an adult beverage or 2. We'll see how I can follow plan while I'm away.

Thanks for being here BUDDDs.

I'm so sorry. I have a family history of both Lupus and Leukemia, so I know what you're going through. When my thyroid crashed and burned, I was absolutely positive it was Lupus. Thank goodness it wasn't. My thoughts are with you.
