I had been so happy with myself, lost 18 lbs, 3 inches off waist, sticking to all approved foods.. But yesterday it all came crashing down. My husband finally got the day off after working over a month and half straight and he wanted to go out to breakfast. Okay I can do that I thought we are going to IHOP I'll just have the egg beater omelet w/ham & cheese. Even though I ordered that I also decided on a piece of wheat toast. Ate maybe 1/2 the omelet and 3 triangles of toast. Left IHOP feeling like I wasted precious calories on not so good food. But that's not even the worse part of the day. We ended up down at the river walk for dinner and stopped at a pizza place. Yet again I let the food get the better of me. Even though I chose a side salad as a starter, I ate 1 and 1/2 slices of pizza. When we got home I couldn't help but feel guilty because not only did I cheat myself out of another day of weight loss but the only exercise I did was a little bit of walking downtown and the stairs in the parking garage. Today I woke up saying yesterday is over I did what I did and today I need to get back on track. So here's to a fresh day.... I'm so thankful I found this site. Not only is it a good place for advice and ideas, its also a nice place to vent! Then hopefully other people read what your going through and aren't so hard on themselves when they slip-up.. Aww, that's sweet of you to share your slip-up so other's won't feel so bad about their own. It sounds like you kept it pretty under control though. Before medi, I've been known to eat a whole pizza in one sitting! I don't know if I could have stopped at 1 and 1/2! Same with the toast! Mmmm, toast.

Keep in mind that carbs hold water, so you may see a weight gain because of this, but you will lose it again once you get back on the low carb track.

You're doing great so don't be too hard on yourself! Just think of it as a cheat day and move on. :-)
