I e-mailed myself the link so I can have it at home. The top two recipes look wonderful.

Great site, Cindy. Thanks for that link.

Where do you buy "Miso Sachet" do you think? Is that the Miso soup mix in a packet that you mix with hot water?

sachet = packet as closely as I can figure.

As opposed to the scented thing you put in your lingerie drawer. I wouldn't want to put that in soup!

Probably wouldn't want to put the soup in my lingerie drawer either. You are a funny girl!

I did google the miso soup mix. All the ones I see have soy in them. Don't know if that's a problem or not. I don't totally stay away from soy, but I've read it can mess with hormones so I try to avoid it if I can.

Yes, that is it, miso soup packets. I use soy all the time.

I love that the Horizon programme has inspired so much stuff to help us!

Miso is a (salty) fermented soy bean paste.
(Tamari is a by-product of making miso.)
Some people who are allergic to soy can tolerate *fermented* soy.
I'd use fresh, if you can find it more/as easily as "sachets"; it's a live food rich in probiotics & enzymes, the benefits of which are often lost if dehydrated at high temperatures.

And in case anyone's thinking about asking,
courgette=zucchini & aubergine=eggplant.
(I had an Irish kitchen assistant once upon a time! )

Thanks for posting, there are some good ideas that never occurred to me like using 1 sheet of filo pastry (which I might try on a non-DD too)

Question: where does "5:2 diet" come from? Is that some shorthand reference that came out of the Horizon program? Is that what some people are calling it?

I enjoyed the link, Cindy, thank you.

Got irritated at some very ignorant and arrogant young posters who were responding underneath, but I can't fix that and need to ignore it. Everybody's not as intelligent and pleasant as we are here, hmmm?

About fermented soy, theoretically if it's fermented it wouldn't cause the harm to the thyroid that other soy might. (Emphasis on the "might" - I don't know how much soy you would have to ingest to cause thyroid concern.)

Whitlin', the 5/2 was from the Horizon program. Michael Mosley did 5 UDs per week, 2 DDs, with great results.
