A particularly satisfying low everything protein

You know how you suddenly notice things on JUDDD? Like an egg at 70 calories is more satisfying than other 70 calorie concoctions? I have had one of those revelations.

For some time now I have been buying the 70 calorie packets of wild salmon produced by Chicken of the Sea (yes i know the broth has soy).

I take a lunch every day to work: Sauteed dark greens, Cauli-rice, one packet of wild salmon and a bit of curry salsa or WF asian dressing.

Or at night I will make a cabbage stir fry that includes the salmon.

Despite the fact that this salmon is very low in fat, it relieves my hunger much much better than equal calories of chicken, turkey, beef, or whey. It must be the Omega 3's.

Anyhow, there have been a ton of posts about hunger lately and I thought I would share.

Thanks Ouis! I'm trying to loosen up a bit about the soy broth in various things. I have decided to limit where I can, but not be crazy about it. I had one of the to go cups of tuna on spinach (raw, another no-no) for lunch the other day and found it pretty satisfying as well.

Thank you for sharing!

Someone mentioned to me yesterday that when her husband has salmon for dinner, his blood sugar is lower in the morning than with other foods.

Thank you for sharing! I've never had salmon, and I'm in the mindset that I can't eat tuna without mayo...Not sure why my mind is trained that way. Maybe I'll give this a shot and see if I can't change that way of thinking!

Love salmon! I make my own and divvy it up in 3 oz portions. So, wonderful, when needing fat as well!

Thanks, Ouis. I know that product and have enjoyed it on some DDs.

My hope would be to be able to make a reasonable facsimile of Subway's tuna with the salmon at home and make my own "Subway-style salmon salad" ready in fridge. I fear I'll need a good bit of mayo! Hmmm... ...

But, hey, mayo is not a sin.

I have done tuna with a dollop of hummus instead of mayo and even the laughing cow cheese too. OH and a table spoon of sour cream!

Absolutely.

Ooh, the hummus sounds like a good mixer! I need to start taking notes on all these good ideas!
