Zero cal DD
After an UUAD Saturday, I ate zero cal yesterday and didn't find myself any hungrier than usual. I have seen a few posts here about people doing zero cal DD and wondered if anyone has done this regularly. Does this help with weight loss at all or is it about the same as a regular DD? Any thoughts or experiences?

I've done a few, though I have coffee or broth, so it's more like 20 calorie DDs when I do one. I haven't noticed any difference in rate of loss. There are some who were doing either zero calories or under 50 or whatever, who actually discovered they lose better getting more calories. I think it depends on what your body likes and feels comfortable with.

I have done zero DD's and 250 up to 350 for most of my 8 months on JUDDD. I lose as well eating 350 calories as I do eating nothing so I rarely do zero calories anymore. Although if I have a really UUAA day I will do zero calories my next DD to counteract that UD. Whether it helps or not I have no idea. maybe psychologically.

I aim for under 200, but allow myself up 350 if needed.

I was doing full fasts (not even water for at least eighteen hours) on down days before life hit me like a train. It isn't hard, and I like the bennies from it when I can do it. Don't know if it is any more beneficial than a good low down day in the long run, but sometimes it is more healing since your body can work on internal stuff when you aren't giving it anything it has to process at all for a short one day fast. My fasts with just water added by evening would then average about 36-40 hours which is the optimum. Eat stop Eat has some good info on this if you want to read it.

I realy haven't tried 0 calories but seem to do ok on about 300 calories which is about 1/2 of my allowed DD amount. But if I eat all my allowed 600 calories it's much harder
to stop eating. Yesterday I just ate 300 calories and was fine. Then today I didn't eat
breakfast but took a little walk, donated a pint of blood and then had all my 2800 calories between 1:30 pm and 6:15. Golden corral loses money on me!
