You Amazing JUDDDers

I was just thinking that there is something extremely powerful in seeing those of you who have been at this for many months, and are midway through your weight loss journey, or close to goal, or in maintenance (sometimes still losing by accident!). There's also something very inspiring about those of you who are just sticking with it even when it's going slowly for awhile. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation you are to those of us just starting out!

I agree with you completely! There is an amazing power and positivity on the JUDDD Forum, and that seems to keep everyone motivated who participate.

And it doesn't seem to matter whether the devotee is a newbie or has been around for awhile, whether they still have a very great deal to lose or are getting pretty close to goal, whether they are in weight loss mode or have already spent awhile in maintenance.. it's still very motivating!

Personally, I believe this Forum is the most exciting and uplifting place on LCF. I spend what time I can here, and keep returning after periods offline for awhile, and it's the people and the positivity that keep me coming back. I find that checking in often really helps keep me uplifted by everyone's successes too!

Total agreement. I am starting month 8 of JUDDDing, very close to goal, and wish I had more time to spend here. If you feel like celebrating, we are all ready to do the Happy Dance. If you need a hug, people crowd around to offer virtual (and very real) support. Questions invoke fascinating discussions. And, as Kimberly says, what you weigh is not the issue: what matters is who you are.

I agree wholeheartedly about how this forum is inspiring and a warm place to be. I don't post a lot these days, but I'm here, reading about the successes so many are having. I felt my own story was getting to sound like a broken record, but I continue to maintain below my goal, easily, and I'm still loving JUDDD!

Aw, thank you so much for the nice words. I was telling someone today that my DH and I FEEL so good, too.At 58, my DH can run circles around younger folks. He does very strenuous, demanding work several days a week, and I'm amazed at his stamina. (And he spends a lot of time chasing ME around, too, lol!)

Isn't he cute?

Yes, Christine! You are soooooo right. I seriously think the SIRT1 gene should be called the HAPPY, Skinny gene! I don't know of any other WOE that has ever made me feel so happy and at peace and healthy and, well, SLENDER! Have to admit when I started JUDDing at the beginning of this year, I was doing it to get slim. That was the most important. But, have you ever heard the phrase "surprised by JOY?" I was totally surprised to find this extra sense of happiness and well being and peace. When I was doing WW or LC I felt stressed and not happy with myself. Now this feeling of being totally comfortable in my own skin, comfortable with how I look and how I move (lighter on my feet), comfortable with the rate of weight loss is just amazing to me. I don't hate my scale anymore! I don't freak out about bounces or about "going off plan" because with JUDD there is no going off plan. And, if I ever do have struggles or triumphs to share, I come to this group and truly feel like I am welcomed and people care about me. This is a great place to be!

I had to laugh at this! I am sort of this way with my DH. If my kids were at home, they would agree! He eats a lot of ice cream (daily) and today he ate waffle fries, fried chicken and a shake for lunch. I have decided that I don't like his choices even on my UD.

Yes, this place is the best. I'm maintaining at this point. I still can't use my right hand/arm so depend on DH for cooking or we eat out. I can't have him preparing special meals for me, just try to eat less every other day. I'm down over 10 pounds since the beginning of June, but seem to be maintaing now which is fine. I still want to lose another 10 pounds.

I love reading about how well everyone is doing. This definitely has to be the best "diet" - if you can call it that!

I have to use a stylus on an iPad to type left handed. Slow going at times!

Hugs to ALL

Absolutely agree. I've always been a lurker no matter what forum I used to frequent, and the JUDDD board here is the first place on the internet where I've posted so much, ever. The people are warm and wonderful, and the atmosphere is so encouraging. Spending time here is always so motivating and uplifting. I feel like it's a rare thing to find these days.

Beverly, Kristin, and Yam-Yam....my hubby was flattered.

Sunday, my DH only posts on motorcycle forums, I think, lol. But he's been on this journey almost since the beginning, when I started Atkins. I lost 50 pounds and he lost about 85. We both stalled for a long time, then did hCG off and on for the next three years. We both struggled to maintain our losses until we found JUDDD. He happily JUDDDs with me because we enjoy the UDs so much. As for DDs, we both eat a lot of eggs, and I don't cook for him on those days. He loves his eggs and doesn't mind fixing them for himself. I'm a lucky woman to have a man to support me like this. I know it makes it a lot easier for me.
