Even though it's 95 degrees today, I'm making soup
1lb 98% lean ground beef; 2 cups frozen mixed veggies; 2 cups frozen green beans, 12oz low-sodium v-8, 4 cups beef broth, 2 cups water. Brown the beef then simmer 20 minutes. About 185 cals for 1.5 cups, so I'll have 2 servings through the day along with coffee, tea and water. Might add some shirataki noodles to the soup.

Ive just had coffee with coffeemate so far... havent had any desire for anything else. Even yesterday on my MD I was so done with eating by the time dinner rolled around. I was really strangely looking forward to todays DD. I kind of want to see if I can ride the day out on just water/tea and do a full fast.

my husband surprised me by picking me up for lunch. i had an egg salad sandwich. it was excellent. since i hadn't eaten anything prior i still have some leftover calories for a chicken breast and cucumbers at dinner

I have a boring regular DD menu too, but it works for me- especially at work!

516 sodium says the online calculator, so that's not as good as my "usual" DD, but still good.



Dottie, I like that soup idea. I bet the house smells good.

Natasha, that's a Progresso soup? Certainly sounds filling.

(Note to self....I'm going to have to look up sodium on V-8 and Progresso.)



genevieve, I used to have egg salad sandwiches all the time! I need to check out the calories and try that again.

I'm going to post yesterday's menu, because I still haven't mapped out exactly what I'm going to eat on my "up" day today.

B: Coffee with 4 Tbsp heavy cream 200 cal

L: 4 slices of BH Oven Gold Turkey 120

D: 1 cup Fage yogurt with fro berries 140

S: 3/4 cup purple grapes 40

500 calories! Woo hoo! I was exhausted by the end of the day, but it's done.

Next down day, going to go for more veggies.
