Ugh

My eating has been terrible lately. I can't stick with my ud/dd rotation because I just can't eat enough. Very depressed and it messes with my appetite. I have absolutely none

I am sorry handbells. If you mean that you can't get your calories in on UD, that is not the worst thing that can happen.

If you have no appetite at all, you may try drinking something with added calories. Coffee w/ hwc, or evco? Do you like nuts or avocado? You can get a lot of bang for very little. Especially macadamia nuts. One avocado is 450 calories.

(((hugs))) Please don't be depressed about this. There are LOTS of us who have to WORK to get those UD cals in. And we have all sorts of tricks and tips to help without feeling like you are going to explode, or OD on sugar.

It usually involves adding fats and oils. Full fat salad dressing, real butter on veggies and potatoes. Add avocado and hard boiled egg to a lunch salad. Sprinkle some cheese on there too. An ounce of almonds a couple times a day can give you over 300 cals. Eat peanut or almond butter off the spoon for a snack. I like to add it to my coconut oil crack.

How many calories are you short, and what sorts of things do you usually eat. We can work with a menu that you have and show you what to add to get the calories in without getting overly full. Don't give up! We can help.

Not depressed about getting ud calories. Depressed in general. Some people get depressed and eat. I get depressed and don't eat.

Eating cheese and butter and full fat salad dressing would be fabulous if I could eat, but I just can't.

I'll bounce back soon, I'm sure. I just needed to vent a little.

When you do nosh, be sure to make like Popeye and eat your spinich (for folates), tomatoes (for carotenoids), fatty fish (for Omega 3s), and Dark Chocolate (for cocoa's serotonin boost). These may help lift the feelings that keep you from eating more. Many hugs - you are SO not alone, darlin'. You caught on to what's happening, making you one smart cookie.
