Fat free mayo?

Hi all,

I've seen quite a few recipes that call for fat-free mayo. Where are you all finding it? I live in the San Francisco Bay area and am having difficulty finding it in the grocery stores. I've checked Safeway, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods(really didin't expect to find it there, though).

Can anyone direct me to a store that carries it?

Thanks so much!

I have FF Miracle Whip, which I found at Savemart--my local chain supermarket. It's not mayo though.

I can't stand fat free mayo (personally, it has a slimy, fake taste). The low-fat tastes a lot better with just a few more calories (IMO).
FF Miracle whip is 15 cals a Tablespoon; Light Miracle Whip is 20 and tastes a whole lot better, to me.

I don't know but I'm going to have to find the light miracle whip. Mine has 40 and I thought it was the lowest mayo they had. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your responses! I've never liked Miracle whip, so I guess I will get the lowfat mayo.

Helman's also makes one called "low-fat" that only has 1 gram of fat and 15 calories per tablespoon I believe.

I just use fat free greek yogurt if I need a mayo substitute, otherwise I want the real thing, preferably homemade.

I have this one and I like it fine. I also have the fullfat mayo. I alternate which I use depending on how many calroies I need to spare.

I agree, and if you add some mustard and lemon juice to it, it tastes pretty darn good.

Those numbers are correct. I have a whole jar of it and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I hate to throw it out. I don't know maybe my jar is stale or is that just the taste?

I thought I might mix a tblsp. in with my Light Catalina dressing to drop the calories a bit on the dressing. I did that last week with full fat mayo on my UD and it wasn't too bad. I could still taste it, but it did drop the calories from 100 to 57.5.

If I can eat those Shirataki noodles, I guess I can live with mixing mayo.
(still on a learning curve with those noodles)

I like the Hellman's lowfat. It certainly isn't as tasty as fullfat Hellman's but maybe I have gotten used to it. I don't use a lot of mayo though.
