Weight down after UD?

Is that common? So far, I've been trending downward in general since I started JUDDD, but it bounces up a bit the morning after the UD, then a bit more down after the DD.

This morning, I was down after my UD yesterday. I had a protein shake (350) for b'fast, a reuben sandwich (640) for lunch, and steak (440) with sweet potato fries (200) at dinner. Right around 1600 calories - and that feels like a huge amount of food for me. I was SO full all day!

Anyway, I was 168.6 after UD, then 169.2 after DD, and then 167.8 after UD. DD today. Makes me wonder what the next few UD/DD cycles will bring!

Hi Yellowbrix! Yes it does happen. It hasn't happened to me.....yet but I am the same weight as yesterday and t was an up day so I am pleased.

I've had it happen a few times and it's a nice surprise! But generally I go up a pound and go back down after the DD.

I often lose after an UD and gain after a DD. Our bodies are mysterious.

JUDDD got me where I want to be!

I have also noticed, since I've become firmly entrenched in JUDDD, that my body seems to want to hold onto weight until it gets a decent amount of fuel on an UD. Then it decides it's ok to let go of some of it.

Yesterday was an UD for me and the scale was down .4 this morning. I think when our bodies are ready to let go of fat and water, they do. It's encouraging to see! Congrats to you!

Happens to me all the time. My weight is just as likely to go up or down after a DD as it is an UD. Just depends on when the body wants to let go of either water weight or fat weight as Yam Yam says. When water weight is involved, it's anybody's guess which day that weight will finally come down on. It's always nice to see it come down after an UD though, for sure.

Yup, no rhyme or reason to it over here either. I'll be up after an up day, or down, or the same. I'll be down after a down day, or up, or the same. The body just does what it wants to do, when it wants to do it. As long as the trend is down, the timing doesn't really matter too much.
