A question about maintenance

At 118 lbs I've decided to go to maintence. I was going to try for 115 lbs but I didn't lose this week and 1,500 is becoming a bit of a stressor, so for now I'll be more than happy to maintain. I've looked through the entire book and couldn't find it anywhere. My question is. Other than more calories to eat, what is the difference in 50%,55% and 60% maintence calories. it would seem obvious that one would like to eat as many calories as possible and maintain their weight. The book doesnt make any reference to this. Being small, I automatically choose 50% . I'm assuming the higher percentages are for men? Another question, am I the only one who's afraid to up my calories to maintenance because I'm afraid I will gain the weight back? I will be staying at 300 DD and adding the extra calories to my UD. I would appreciate it if anyone knows about this

I think you'll love maintenance! You really can relax. Just keep an eye on your weight and you'll find what works for you. I eat freely on UDs. I keep my DDs low. I've maintained doing it that way. I think their are others who like to add more calories to their DDs.

Muf!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What great news!

I have NO idea how to use the maintenance calculations - except maybe to start low and gradually increase until you (a) probably drop those last few pounds, and (b) find the DD/UD ratio and amounts that work for you.

When you learn the real answer, share!!!

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Muff, I'm headed to maintenance this week, too, unless some ridiculous gain happens. I've seen all kinds of maintenance strategies: raise DDs, raise UDs, raise both. Perhaps we begin by shifting the one that's most uncomfortable? I'm going to start by raising UDs with the idea of keeping the maximum spread between UDs and DDs. What I'm hoping for is to reap the greatest benefits from the sirt1 gene,or whatever it's called.
I'm nervous, too, because I feel as though I'm just getting the hang of regular JUDDDing. Feel as though I only hit my stride about a week ago!
All the best. I'll look forward to hearing from you during the transition.

Sorry, no help on your question although I would assume for you size 50% would probably keep you from gaining weight while 60% might, but I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on maintenance!!!
