Sticking my toe into JUDDD waters...

I'm a long time user of LC eating - but I always seem to get bogged down and lose focus as I come into view of my goal weight. Dieter's fatigue maybe? Anyway, I'm 20 pounds from goal and I'm interesting in seeing if intermittent fasting might give me the boost I need. JUDDD seems to be the approach that comes with the most instructions, so I'll start here!

I have to admit, it felt quite bizarre to allow myself foods outside of my LC comfort zone. I probably will not permit myself the more dangerous options since I have a history of binge eating. I'll have to keep it to real, healthful, moderate carb options so I don't shoot myself in the foot.

I came over to JUDDD from lc and keep it moderate lc most days - I have been known to have Big Mac and fry attacks every other week though (and have no problem with it!) JUDDD has helped me lose 11 lbs since the end of March, and I was horribly stuck on strict induction carbs forever. The closer to goal, the more difficult it became.

Welcome to JUDDD - I think you'll like it here. The JUDDD Buddds are so friendly and helpful and are the main reason I decided to give it a try.

There is so much support and knowledge amongst JUDDD buds. I was very nervous to leave strict LC, but after 1 month on JUDDD with UDs and DDs below 20 net carbs I took the plunge. I feel such freedom with JUDDD. If you have questions just ask. There are so many people who have had tremendous success.

to JUDD. Wishing you much success! I have also came from low carb and my one word of advise would be to try to stick at lower carb and gradually add in carbs (if you decide to to that). I also have a binging behavior issues and since I started adding carbs too fast on JUDD, this had brought back binging issues. So I am now going back to very low carb and once I get this under control, I will slowly expand my options.

Thanks, everyone! I suppose this is "officially" my DD - last night was my anniversary - 26 years - and we went out to eat... so I ate, LOL! My calories from the first part of the day were appx 500 from b'fast & lunch. At dinner, I had about 3 oz steak, about 2/3 cup of a chopped salad of greens, bleu cheese, pecans, and some type of vinaigrette, perhaps 3-4 ounces of potato w/butter & sour cream, and artichoke dip w/toasted rye bread. Of the food served, I ate less than half of the restaurant's portions, which felt ENORMOUS to me. I took the trouble to calculate it all - 1530 calories (so 2030 for the day) and 90g carbohydrate (100g for the day). Had I skipped the bread, I'd be at roughly 54g carb and 1730 calories. That is clearly the correct path. But I can't un-eat the bread, so I can only have my DD today and not repeat that choice in the future!

Thanks! I am really interested in (fascinated by) your stats! I have a "floor" at 170ish that for some reason is very difficult to break. My body really likes being at 170. I see a lot of JUDDDers who seem to have the same stall issues and used JUDDD to break it. I suppose that's what I'm seeking.

Can you share about how long it took for your body to react to the change? Anybody else? From when you switched to JUDDD to when you noticed you were showing improved weight loss?
