I have the DVD. I think I have the old one and the new one. It is a good solid workout. I walk 5 miles daily and try to do the Shred DVD 3 times a week. The intention is to do it 7 days a week. It combines 3 minutes weights, 2 minutes cardio and 1 minute of abs and i think there are 3 rotations. ALso there are 3 levels and in each level there is a modified and full version of the exercises. You will feel the pain. It is worth purchasing if you are looking for a good quick workout!

Hi Mitsa

I love JM. I have 3 of her DVD's. I used the 30 Day Shred after a very sedentary pregnancy and it helped me get my shape back. I also love No More Trouble Zones, this is primarily mat work and no cardio which is also great for reshaping. Either way you cant go wrong! Good Luck!

I have the DVD, and like all of the DVDs I have, I purchased it with the greatest of intentions. I did it . . . once. Don't get me wrong. It was nothing wrong with the DVD or the workout. I just can't seem to get into at-home workouts. I much prefer family outings.

The shred it great! It's only 20 minutes, but a hard work out with quick results. By day 5 it gets easier. Buy it!

I liked it becuase it is short but it is high impact. Lots of jumping jacks and such. If you have any knee, hip, ankle problems think twice.

I also thought I would chime in and say I'm doing the 30 Day Shred right now (on Day 7) and I love it. I already notice my endurance has increased and I feel stronger and more fit. You can't beat that for 25 minutes a day! The first 3-4 days are really difficult but it is worth it.

Thanks for this info. I won't be buying it and I was considering it. TTapp is great for me since there is no impact but I always like to have something else in the wings.

Im not too worried about high impact, im used to doing it. But it does sound challenging. I got it today and will start tomorrow. I am a little concerned however about doing it everyday. I have weight trained in the past for many years and one must give the muscles used at least 2 days before training them again as we dont want to risk over training. Thoughts ??????

Mitsa I do cardio almost daily-I do alternate my weight training and take time off in between. Weight training I do on M,W and F and cardio all five days. I do not have the video but I am thinking it sounds like it is primarily a cardio workout which you could do at least five if not more times a week. Best of luck with the workout-you have convinced em to pick this one up to add to my collection, it will be nice for the days when I am really short on time and want to get in a little more of a workout!!

Mista, the "weight training" part of the DVD isn't such that it can't be done daily. It isn't like a full blown weight workout. It is short because it is meant to do daily.

The reason I love Youtube is because you can actually try a workout before you purchase the dvd! I do like her and have this dvd. Also, this channel "Befit" has lots of different workouts to peruse.

Great! I've been lurking(?) on this site for a while. I've tried a low carb diet before (less than 30 net carbs a day) and had great success (12lbs in 10 days) but I've since returned to my abusive relationship with bread and pasta.

So...I'm back on the wagon, 50 net carbs a day, and I workout with a trainer twice a week. He's awesome but I need more help.

I'm so excited that I have a buddy! Let me know if you feel up to it for Monday. I'm going to workout in the mornings before work or in the evenings (if I don't get to bed on time).

I'm so excited!!!! (in my Jessi Spano voice)

I completed Day 1 this morning before work!

It wasn't bad but I am more out of shape than I thought. Two things, make sure your workout space is cool before you start and drink water before you start. There are no breaks but the 20 min workout is beyond convenient!

I have been doing the shred for 2 weeks and have GAINED 5 lbs. Wonder what that is about. It's impossible to gain 5 lbs of muscle in 2 weeks. It's a great work out but it has absolutely trashed my knees. Really bad on the knees. But I keep going because I want to get fit!
