Prayers For Mom

Hi everyone. I'm reaching out to all my JUDDD BUDDDs asking for prayers for my Mom. On Monday she passed out and hit her head so hard on the toilet that it pushed her brain into her scull in the front and has caused brain damage to her frontal lobe and blood on her brain. The impact actually moved the toilet sideways.

She seems to have damaged her short term memory and it is believed this will be permanent. She is in ICU right now but hopefully will be moved to a regular room soon then onto rehab where they will see what the damaged has done to her cognitive thinking and what she will or will not be able to do and whether living on her own will be an option anymore. She is only 76, BTW and has always been a strong, independent lady.

Please pray, as hard as you can if you will, because I truly believe there is power in pray and there is power in numbers so the more who pray, the stronger the intention will be. If you aren't a praying person, please just keep her in your good thoughts. Positive thoughts and energy can moves mountains.

Thanks in advance and I promise to update when I can.

A man asked Gautama Buddha, "I want happiness." Buddha said, "First remove "I," that's Ego, then remove "want," that's Desire. See now you are left with only "Happiness.”

Still at goal 2/6/13
Changed to LCHF after becoming diabetic in 9/13 (Lost 15 more pounds).
STILL below goal 11/21/15

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Thanks for letting us know about your mom. My prayer is that the Lord will give her doctors and nurses the wisdom and skills they need to give your mother the best possible care. I also pray that He will totally restore her cognitive ability and will comfort you, your mother, and the rest of your family in the days and weeks to come.

I am so sorry to hear about this!
A friend of mine recently sustained a (comparatively minor) brain injury when he fell 30-40 feet out of a tree, so I know it's scary and difficult for the patient as well as the friends & family.

Praying for the doctors, nurses and other professionals around her that they make the right decisions; praying for their calm and centeredness as they care for her.

Forgive me as I butt in and say, please read this article from the brain injury caregivers' support folks, BrainInjuryRX, who help a lot of military families. It is about the 3 most important supplements following brain injury, and a lot of thought and research has been put into it.

Can omega-3 help brain injury recovery? | Brain Injury Rx

God bless you. I am a caregiver for someone who has impaired short-term memory (age related only) and there are still wonderful times with family and friends that are not changed much, because long-term memory is intact. Hugs to you as you help your mother face this challenge.

Loving, healing thoughts for your mother and all your family.

Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.

Hunger is not an emergency.

It's not what you eat between Christmas and New Year that makes you fat, it's what you eat between New Year and Christmas.
