I love that you are continuing to lose while on "maintenance". How is your overall health doing?

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I'm not 100% yet, but I'm getting there. I'd say I'm about 75% "me" again, which is a vast improvement. I'll go back in a couple of weeks for more bloodwork, and there's a new prescription I'd like to ask the doctor to add. My TSH levels are decent now, but my T3 is not great, so I'm getting enough thyroid hormone, but my body's not converting it to usable form well enough. The other meds should help with that (if the doctor will prescribe it--some won't). I suspect if I can get that regulated, I'll be back to my usual self.

Last weekend was the first time in a long time I felt well enough to go skating with Keira. That says a lot. I took it way slower than I normally do, but even feeling well enough to go was a big win for me, and the wee munchkin! I suspect the fact that the meds are starting to kick in, and I'm moving around a bit more has greatly contributed to my whooshes this week. I am NOT complaining!

This coming Saturday, there's a charity walk for the local Bully breed rescue. It's 2 miles on uneven ground. I'm really hoping I'll feel well enough to go. DH's business (he's a private investigator in his "spare" time) is a sponsor for the event, so his logo's on the t-shirts. Should be fun, but super draining.

Thank you. Sadly, no. Nobody claimed him. DH has a friend who has another pitbull and they had a play date on Friday. Saturday, DH's friend and his wife decided to take him for the weekend and see how he did. He did great, and now has a new, loving home! Yippee!

I am also amazed at your progress! I have thyroid issues as well and have been on armour but I still lose have sluggish metabolism. I have recently began bio-identicals and that has made me feel somewhat better, but not yet ready to get off of maintenance. I feel like I may be getting ready to see more losses and if I do, I will hang on to this for a while.

Dawn, like sungoddess, I may want to be you when I grow up. More accurately, I trust that as I grow in Juddd, I'll grow into your kind of wisdom, support, and commitment. Thanks for the inspiration.

You all are so nice! You all are truly my inspiration. It feels weird to think someone else can be inspired by my journey, but if even one person can benefit from my experience, I'm certainly more than willing to share it. I continue to learn each and every day from all the other experiences shared on this board. You all !

65 lb lost

It looks nice, but what does it really mean?

Well, for a start, just try picking up 2 bags of sand weighing 32.5lbs in each hand and living your life, day in day out, carrying them...that is just one thing that it means.

It means freedom to stoop, stretch, stand, sit, skate, ski. To walk, hike, rush and run. To dance, hop, skip and jump.

It means waking each day, proud and happy in your own body. It means enjoying the journey you have chosen to heal your body. It means being happy to be eating good wholesome food, of your choice. Enjoying a huge variety of foods. Sharing great food with your family and friends.

It means that JUDDD is working, nourishing and healing your body.

It means the Dawn is quite simply an amazing JUDDD BUDDD. And we love her.
