Hi, i'm new.

I started the judd diet about 4 days ago, but i dont feel any difference ![]() I would be most gratefull for anybody's help |

You aren't eating enough on your UD. When I enter your stats in the JUDDD calculator, I get 2069 calories for UD and 414 calories for DD at 20% with no exercise. I think you should probably read the stickies at the top of the forum and get to know the principles behind why and how JUDDD works. At the levels you're eating, you're not going to bring yourself out of the DD stress response, so your body is going to want to hang on to everything, and you won't be getting all the wonderful healing benefits of JUDDD.

Oh thanks so much,Arki1. OMG!!!!!! I think i'll be scared to eat that much. Can it really be true. Not that i doubt you Arti 1, but i feel so bloated already on ud.. I'm using low carb shakes on my down days,, do you think i will have to lay of carbs on my ud??.

Thank you all. I have the book and in my haste i have just set my own levels. Thanks so much for checking the stats for me. I will have a good look through the stickys and come back in a week or so to let you know how i'm doing.

I know it's scary, but YES, eat that much! I came here scared to to eat up to my numbers too. I asked if I'd have a "quick 10-pound gain" because I'm hypothyroid and gain really easily. Well, trust me, this can work, and it honestly can be like magic. But as part of the magical formula is to FEED your body one day, and not so much the next.
The hardest part of eating this way is simply counting the calories. There are NO other rules.

Gosh you are all a real help. I know i said i would post back in a week but i'm already excited by all your freindly response's. By the way girls, i live in Glasgow' Scotland and i am married with a 16 year old son. I used to be 112lb right up until i had my bouncing baby boy in 1996. After he was born the weight just crept and crept on. I also suffer from PCOS for the past 15 years, so as you can imagine i've tried every diet out there

I am from Larkhall...though I have been in Newcastle since I was 18...and am also married with a 16 year old son...and a 15 year old one to! Welcome! You've already gotten great advice.
I've got a 16yo boy too (and a 19yo boy, as well as 14 and 5 yo girls). Once you get the numbers right, I imagine you'll start seeing some great results. Many (myself included) came here a bit disbelieving that it could work for "me". I was pretty close to goal, and had some healing to do with my metabolism before my body was willing to let go of much weight, but I am now (and have been since early April) sitting 5 pounds below my original goal and able to eat SO much more than I could before JUDDD. It really is "magic".
