Ouch....

I LOVE a good, big breakfast. My FAVORITE foods are breakfast foods. I really look forward to it every UD (I have it on DD, just later and smaller )

So - yesterday was a DD - and a really good one! This morning my DH and I had to have blood work done, so had to fast until it was over. We finally got out of there about 10, and were starving.

So we went to a local cafe, where he actually ordered 2 breakfasts, and I ordered an absolutely delicious meal, but it was REALLY rich.

(biscuit cut in half, sausage patty on each, poached egg on each then country gravy, along with hash browns on the side.) SOOOO good!

Not to worry, I counted it all (as best I could anyway, since this is a small local place, so no on-line nutrition info.)

But when I got home, holy smokes I had/have tummy issues.

Thank goodness we had pepto on hand.

I guess a really rich big meal after a prolonged period of fasting is perhaps not the best idea ever.....dangit.

The good news is, I am unlikely to want to eat anything else for many, many hours.

I have had the same bathroom issue. It seems that when I save all my calories for a big feast my tummy lets me know in no uncertain terms that it is not happy. I don't even feel like I am stuffed or over eating during the feast but maybe going from fast to feast is a no-no for some of us.

Unfortunately I think you may be on to something there.

Wonder if I actually have to count all the calories, since many of them seemed to be on the express train rather than taking the local route.

It happens to me everytime too! You'd think I'd learn my lesson and break my fast with something more bland.

Well, it's now after 6 and still not even a little bit hungry. But at least my stomach has calmed down.

Not quite sure how I am going to get the rest of my calories in for the day, though.
