TOM questions....

How much weight do you usually gain, when does it show on the scale, and when does it go away?

Typically I see the gain 1-2 days before TOM shows up, and it usually disappears halfway through TOM.

I'd be thrilled if it's gone for me when I weigh in on Monday (my second "official" weigh in and first after a DD)...

Hi Michelle, I'm also pre-Tom - yay.

Anyway, I tend to gain up to 4# during this lovely time, as you mentioned it's just a couple days before Tom when it reaches its peak. And like you said, it will go away during Tom.

My TOM is early...4-5 dys early. I am just hoping it will be gone on Monday when I weigh-in for the 2nd time and the 1st time after a DD.

For me I get a jump up on the scales my second day of TOM (also my heaviest flow day), and it doesn't go away until at least 1-2 days after TOM leaves...sometimes it could be even 3-5 days after it leaves before the water weight goes completely down. Then a week or so later I've got the ovulation water weight gain. I only ever have any success with real weight loss approximately 2 weeks out of the month.

Currently on my final day of TOM thankfully...

for me, I go up a few pounds when I ovulate and bounce around there.
actual TOM I can go up as much as 8 pounds and usually do.
It does not just drop off me after. No whoosh. No magic.
I have to really watch the food components I eat, and it takes several strict down days / fasts to get back close to where I was. Then I can start losing again.
I know my story may not be the norm, but it is what I have to live with.

I'm dealing with menopause and my biggest challenge is the ravenous hunger that hits me a few day to a week before TOM. Every time I pray it's the last time lol. The only other time I got this hungry I was preggers with my twins!
