And another question - carbs? calories?

Am I counting carbs like on Atkins? I've been looking at recipes on Marks site and I'm seeing fruit and nuts and I know those carbs are going to add up. If not carbs, am I supposed to watch calories? And so as not to frustrated any of you, do you think it's advisable to just order his book? I've read so many places that I can get all the info that I need off the net but I don't want to drive people crazy with newbie questions!

Kari, I just answered your other post, but just to add, from what I have read most paleo plans have you concentrate on quality, not quantity and to just learn to listen to your body again. With that said, they also mention limiting fruit/nuts and starchy veggies (not off limits, just occasional) if you are trying to lose weight.

I was just reading on *** and if i remember correctly, I was just reading that!

"Carbs: 50-100 grams/day (or less) = accelerated fat loss. 100-150 grams/day = effortless weight maintenance. Heavy exercisers can increase carb intake as needed to replace glycogen stores."

I just pulled this off of the food pyramid over there.....
