Looking for your Miracle Noodle Recipes

Is there a thread with Miracle Noodle recipes vs. recipes embedded in daily "what are you eating" threads?

I just made them with a little tomato sauce & minced chopped tomatoes. They were ok. The texture will take some getting used to, but for 0 cal, I think I can deal.

Looking for your favorite way to prepare them. Thanks!

I searched until I found a spaghetti sauce that was the lowest in calories. Classico (can't remember the exact one) has 50 calories for 1/2 cup. I would dry pan fry the noodles until dry, then add the 1/2 cup spaghettis sauce then 1 wedge of light Laughing cow cheese. For 85 calories it is VERY filling and if I eat it at lunch I am not hungry again for dinner. Sometimes I add a little chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. I round it off to 100 calories then.

I do grilled shrimp in Bragg's liquid aminos , one laughing cow cheese of choice, any grilled veggie, zuccini, brocolli or peppers and chicken broth. It is very tasty!

I do a pretend tuna noodle casserole type thing. Pan fry the noodles with half a can of tuna and A few tablespoons of light cream of mushroom soup. Then I sometimes add hot sauce to give it a bit of a kick.

The other thing I like to do is mix the noodles with pre-made Japanese curry packets. Might have this tonight actually!

I love thai peanut noodles, rinse and dry the noodles in hot pan, add 2 T pb2, 1 tsp peanut oil, 1 tsp coconut aminos, as much sriracha or thai garlic chili paste as you like (I crave spicy on down days) and a dash of erythritol or a couple drops stevia to round out the flavor and maybe a tablespoon of water. it coats the noodles in spicy peanutty goodness. 100 cal of YUM and you can easily throw some frozen shrimp or leftover meat in with it. Also good with chopped bell pepper or a can of water chestnuts if you have the calories to spare on down days.

I just got some pb2 so I am going to try this tomorrow. Sounds interesting. Hope I like it.

I've never tried these based on some threads on the MB over the years about the taste/texture.

Are they really good? My local health food store carries them so it wouldn't be a problem to pick up a bag.

Anybody know any online sources for shirataki noodles in Canada? Nobody has heard of them in my rural neck of the woods.

Make a salsa/pico-de-gallo: dice a roma tomato, slice a jalapeno, a little diced onion, cilantro, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper. Simmer in a little water until it's all soft and makes a sauce. Add the noodles and heat through

I have no issues with the texture but then I am not picky eater. I like the fact that they fill me up for zero calories. A little spaghetti sauce and lunch. There is no taste. They only pick up the flavor of whatever they are in. I like the rice in a can of low calorie Progresso soup for a filling lunch for 140 to 160 calories depending on the kind of soup I choose.

I add them to my homemade ratatouille with a bit of parmesan for 100 cals and very filling. I also add them to chicken bouillon to fill me up for 5 cals.

My favorite salty junk food used to be those Mr.Noodle soups. I'd add an egg and frozen peas, then hot sauce. Huge bowl of deliciousness. And because of whatever was in that spice packet (MSG, etc.), I'd wake up the next day with a headache and a face as puffy as a beanbag chair. I always said to my lovely man, I'd love to find a healthier version of this stuff.
Now I have it. Shirataki, broth, eggs (egg whites on DDs), veggies, and hot sauce. Gorgeous.

I just posted my new Thai Miracle Noodle recipe with picture in the DD Food Porn thread, but here's the recipe:

Walden Farms Asian Dressing (not sure how much I used, but it is calorie free)
1 T. natural Peanut Butter 100
2 t. chopped peanuts 70
2 t. soy sauce 7
1/2 T. Chili Sauce 20
lots of cilantro

I literally just threw everything but the chili sauce and cilantro into a pan and cooked it until hot, then topped with the chili sauce and cilantro. I'm telling you this was amazing! I may make it a DD staple.
