Shrinking grocery bill.

I spend so much less $$ and have even purchased new items (shiritake noodles) that are more expensive.

I used to shop more frequently since I like fresh produce but realised yesterday that I hadn't fought the grocery store crowd all week.

Life just keeps getting easier.

it really is helpful to eat less, isn't it?
I have an organic produce box groupon I bought that I need to fit in getting delivered, just haven't had a chance. We buy less, consume less, waste less. I love it!

My grocery bill is smaller, but when we eat out, we're going to better places. It's all working out the same.

JUDDD got me where I want to be!

I have saved so much money in groceries alone in the 6 months I've been JUDDDing. Most months I'm literally spending half of what I used to (we don't eat out much though, and I usually cook everything from scratch). It's been amazing and a lifesaver in this economy for me. This is actually one of my favorite NSVs of this woe.

I am eating less in one way, but in another it's more expensive. Fresh fruit and vegetables are more expensive than processed foods, and the volume that I'm eating them at to get enough calories on my up days really does make a difference.

Having said that, I'm seeing and feeling the health benefits every day, so why would I whinge?!

Not much change here. I feed a dh, 2 teenage boys, a teenage girl, a 5 yo girl, and myself. My food doesn't really make that much difference. And with my allergies, I have to buy more expensive alternatives, so I may even be spending more. But that's ok. I'm healthier, and that is priceless.
Tina--wife to my dh for 24 years and mom to 4 great kids. JUDDD reboot to lose the nearly 20 pounds gained in the past 2 years.

I've not seen huge returns yet, but it's only been a month... today I bought about 15$ of groceries-- 2 lettuces, 2 bunches radishes, bag of broccoli, an onion... I think that was it... but I agree-- I'm eating out less (that's more of a new year's thing, helps the budget and the waistline) and the protein in the house is going further.

Yes, I agree. Over the last couple of years, I have really learned to cook. At first it was way more expensive. Now I'm taking our fave recipes and making them cheaper...instead of chicken breast in our curries, we have whatever cheap fish is on sale that week.

Plus, I don't really have to follow recipes as much anymore. This makes cooking much easier and WAY more enjoyable. Once I get a decent kitchen with enough storage, I might even like it!

This also means we are eating out WAY less - hard to justify swinging by somewhere when you have cedar smoked salmon or something yummy in the fridge.
