It's SUNDAY, what are you eating?

DD

Not completely planned but: shrimp, cauliflower rice and rotel soup; maybe tuna and romaine salad.

FD here.

-1 c. black coffee
-1 org. carrot
-1 org. apple
-green tea with stevia
-1 bowl mixed cereal with unsweet. almond milk
-1 can King Oscar sardines in evoo, slathered in mustard

I now seem to crave the sardines with mustard 1 or 2x per week. This King Oscar brand is a little more expensive than others, but worth it - quality little fish and packing ingredients. These are brisling sardines (they are smaller size fish than others I've had, and contain evoo and salt, and that's it) I don't even know how other people like to eat sardines, whether in recipes or just straight out of the can or with sauces, so I probably seem strange eating sardines with a fork, making sure each one has ample mustard on it, lol, but I used to love this on occasion even as a kid. Odd that now I really want them at least 1 x weekly.

They are very filling and come in at 240 calories for the can. Also contain 20 g. fat, 14 g. protein. Apparently sardines have as much protein per ounce as sirloin, more calcium than milk. And they have those omega-3s.

Beverly has me wanting to break out the Lindt "A Touch of Sea Salt" dark chocolate.

-2 squares Lindt Touch of Sea Salt Dark Chocolate
-glass of red wine

The dark chocolate with sea salt pairs so well with red wine! And I love the Lindt Sea Salt dark chocolate because the salt is such a complement to the chocolate! You even get a slightly crunch from the sea salt granules, which is great. The % cocoa is only about 50% which is less than I usually have in dark chocolate, but it's really good!!

Dinner tonight will be pork, leftover cinnamon lamb-rice-kale dish, leftover beets, and probably a salad with greens, cuke, tomato, carrot, and whatever other fresh vegs I can find that need used up.

I can't figure out why my past 3 DD's (including today) have been a nightmare!!! I just ate ALL my calories in one, 5 minute sitting!!! Actually, probably had MORE than 500 calories. Ughhhhh. Need to get back on track as I have goals to meet.

My plan is to eat nothing else today. That's going to be hard as it's only noon. Wish me luck

Oh yes someone who understands me!! That with my cocobon wine and I am in heaven. I didn't realize it was only 50%- probably why I like it so much. If I had to take something on a deserted island, it would be this combo!

Various flavors of glucomannan jello help me stay on track. I make it in the morning and nibble all day.
This week's favorite is:
3/4 C water
1/4 C DaVinci SF Chocolate Macadamia Nut
1 tsp gluc powder

Throw it all into a Magic Bullet until foamy (45 seconds).

5 carbs, 5 fiber, 0 cal. It's very filling and gives me lots of different flavors so I don't get bored. My kitchen has 30 flavors of DaVinci and Torani set up. lol

The other thing that helps me is hot soup with Gluc noodles added. I like Konjac Acini di Pepe Pasta. I'm rotating soups:
Imagine Creamy Acorn Squash & Mango Soup (70 cal)
Imagine Creamy Portabello Mushroom Soup (70 cal)
Pacific Spicy Black Bean Soup (80 cal)
Pacific Chicken Noodle Soup (90 cal)
Pacific Cashew Carrot Ginger Bisque (130 cal)
Imagine Mild Inian Lentil Soup (140 cal)
Pacific Thai Sweet Potato Soup (160 cal)
Pacific Chipolte Sweet Potato Soup (220 cal)

Well now I am just going to HAVE to check that out for myself, aren't I? I think we all need to meet in Napa Valley for a big wine tasting party, paired with chocolate of course.

550 calories and possibly even more depending on how dinner goes. You guys are evil! I'm weak right now at ovulation time and having a rough DD, so I'm adding the sea salt dark chocolate.
Ok, dinner settled that gnawing hunger better than I thought it would and I restrained myself from eating chocolate after all. Added some more chicken and ham and ended up around 425 calories total. Saving the chocolate (larger portion too) for tomorrow!
