This diet makes me want to smoke

I don't know why, but I have been craving a cigarette on my down days like no ones business.

I think it's because I don't think I've ever really dieted while not smoking and since JUDDD is more restrictive then Low Carb, I want to smoke to curb the hunger.

Don't worry, I won't smoke, can't stand the smell of it anymore, but I do crave it occasionally.

ETA - I quit on 7/5/11
If I'm not here, I'm at the beach

Interesting. I can see the association. And where the association comes from.

I, on the other hand, realized recently I am smoking about half of what I was smoking when I started JUDDD. Had a seven hour drive last Monday. Stopped to use the bathroom (DD you know) and to walk around, but did not think of cigs until I got home.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I tried taking ACV (apple cider vinegar) recently for some reason....people say it's good for ya, lol....anyway, I noticed that it killed the craving for a cig, at least for a little while!

I quit several years ago and still crave them several times per week. I never considered whether or not it could be related to diet.

JUDDD got me where I want to be!

I have the opposite affect, I do smoke, but on Dds I feel really cleansed, and feel like when I have a cigarette I am dirtying my nice clean body up!

JUDDDING and exercising my last few unwanted pounds away!

I haven't smoked in years, but I had the same thoughts and feelings, too. I had just finished working out at my gym doing 1 hr cross fit training which I followed up with a 90 hot yoga class. After class I felt so cleansed and felt great! Then, all of the sudden I thought wow I feel like smoking a cigarette. WTH!

It's weird.

Artsy, did you do a lot of backbending in that yoga class? I ask bc the backbending postures like camel and wheel bring up a lot of "stuff" like stress response, emotions, toxins, etc and so maybe that release caused you to want to smoke a cig to get back into your comfort zone and feel secure.

Sometimes in camel I want to burst into tears. I feel flooded with weird emotions. I tell myself that it will pass...and it does
