1 Month in; 8lbs gone!

I started March 26th at 165. Lost 7# to 158 pretty fast. But then bounced up to 160 for 2 weeks straight. Then yesterday.......WHOOSH!! I just dropped back to the 158 I was at 2 weeks ago and dropped 1# more! Weighed 157 this morning! And I even went over my calories on my DD yesterday by nearly 100 calories!!! First time I've gone over on a DD since starting actually. I'm so excited I could just POP! After my forever stall, I STILL just can't believe I'm losing again. I love, love, LOVE JUDDD if it will do this for me after so long a stall.

I'm really enjoying my UP day today, too......more than usual. Had banana pancakes for brekfast, chicken fried steak for lunch with (get this) a piece of DH's baguette drenched in butter. And I'm still only at 883 calories!! Must try to get to 1655 at dinner. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.

Thanks, Cindy. I'm beginning to realize just how efficient my body's set point system was and how effectively JUDDD thwarts those countermeasures. You know, I should have known that was what it was going to take, because even on WW years ago, it was after eating MORE than I was accustomed to during the week that I'd drop a pound or two. My metabolism has that down to a "fine art" and JUDDD keeps the system totally confused, I believe. It's like during the night, this loud voice screams down my gullet "incoming" (like armed troops on the battlefield) and my body just doesn't know what to do because it was in "starvation" mode just yesterday. Whatever.....it's working for sure.

This made me laugh. I think that you must be correct that our metabolisms are just figuring out that there is a food shortage and then we throw down a bunch of food and it forgets there were any problems!
Congrats on the weight loss

Thanks everyone. I really am happy to be off that 2-year stall at 170. I can't tell you how happy. It's just no fun dieting, not cheating, and still never losing for SUCH a long time.

Peggy, this is such great news! I'd had some similar experiences, and I'm still in awe that this works for MY body so well! I was so frustrated that so many people seem to have no trouble getting all the way to goal with LC alone. But me? I stalled years ago, in spite of my clean eating. Maybe we're beginning to understand that it wasn't our fault. We were just taking the wrong approach for OUR bodies.

Yeah, imagine baguettes slathered in butter being the answer for me.

OMG, Welcome to LCF and to the JUDDD WOE, Jeanne! I just spotted your call name! I know MirinBlue from over on Active Low Carber Forums, folks. I hope this way of eating works as well for you as it appears to be for me so far. Today's my Down day and I just had coffee for breakie; a bacon cabbage stir-fry is planned for lunch, and a creamy casserole made with tofu shirataki noodles and turkey for dinner tonight. All for under 500 calories! I'm not even minding the DD's much anymore, after a month.

Best of luck to you with this WOE, my friend!
