Just need to vent

Started JUDDD in March... did GREAT ... 15 lbs in like 3 weeks... Now have been playing with these damned same 4 lbs for the last 3 weeks... Easter and a weekend full of alcohol and fast food hasnt helped....

Now I am not throwing in the towel... I am trying to be patient....

But I just wanna see the scale go below that set point...

Im doing 198-200-198- 202- 200-198 and you guessed it... 200 today...

Im hanging in there... Need some love folks

Karen

Karen!

How especially frustrating having this happen right on the edge of onederland!

You say you had a few UUADs. Are the bounces associated with those? Or do you have the rotation back on track and are still stalled?

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Are you eating all of your UD and DD calories? I found my loss is faster when I really try to hit those numbers, without UUAD's though.

Congrats Karen!!!

We started very close to the same time and I have had very slow losses. I am only 16 down. I did notice a correlation between my celebration dates (alcohol) involved and when my losses took a turn or stall. I know everyone is different though and this may not be your case! Now even on my UD, I am staying alcohol free until I reach goal or until I start losing steadily.

Sending some love your way. Keep working the plan. Some bodies just need a time of adjustment when a lot is lost very quickly. If you stay on plan, respecting your numbers, you will start losing again.

And I have no idea why, but that scale always seems to stick at those big psychological numbers--on the verge of onederland, or when getting ready to enter a new decade. Frustrating!

Be patient, adjust if you need to, and it will happen!

You are "idling" (like a car at a traffic light). You have been moving forward (losing) and now are waiting to proceed when your body is ready. The light will change and turn to green and you will start losing again. Just keep on keepin' on!

It has to be more frustrating for you as you're "sitting in traffic" right outside the gates to Disneyland (Onderland). Hang in there!

Sending some your way. Bouncing in and out of onederland can be so emotionally hard!!

You did lose a large amount of weight in 3 weeks. 5 pounds a week is a lot! Perhaps your body just needs to catch up a bit. If you stick to your rotations and hit your calorie allotments, the weight will come down.

Maybe try to eat cleanly for a few weeks without the alcohol and fast foods
( which are very high in sodium and so you may be holding water) and carefully track your calories to assure you are hitting your numbers.

I know how hard it is to be patient. When the scale doesn't drop, look at your measurements. Hopefully you took them when you started. Often when the scale isn't dropping, the inches are. That can be a huge psychological pump up!!

Hang in there, it will happen.

I so agree with this.

Karen: I'm right there with you!!! Except, my body has been hanging out at around the same weight since April 1st. Part of it is that I got myself back to the gym, I know. Part of it was my fun vacation in Palm Springs which I absolutely do not regret! And, you don't need to regret a fun Easter or a weekend off where you enjoyed some adult beverages!

But I seriously believe in the "resting" phase Beeb mentioned. The closer I get to goal, the slower the loss on the scale. But, I continue to lose inches and there is no loose skin which, at my age, I'm so thankful for!

Try counting some of your blessings on this WOE like:

*We are really only dieting every other day
*We are preserving muscle
*We are burning fat
*We are getting smaller and losing inches
*We get to enjoy all kinds of food and drink!
*We are not suffering!
*We have each other. All the wonderful JUDD BUDDS.
*We are not in a race.
*We are learning a WOE which will last a lifetime.
*We can take a weekend break and it does not "ruin" the diet and send us completely off the rails.
*JUDD is so forgiving and easy to get back to if we take a vacation.
*We are not in a race. (repeat for truth!)
*We are not in a race. (I like this one!)

Don't forget to pat yourself on the back, or head, or butt or anyplace you can reach for how far you have come already. And, so quickly! You are doing great. Distract yourself by trying on a pair of your biggest pants and feeling how baggy in the rear they are. Clean out a closet. Make a list of all the clothes you will buy when you fit into the next smaller size.

Keep your chin up, Girl!!! This too shall pass. We are here for you!!!
