WOE: Semi-Primal
Checking in and checking out

Hey JUDDD buds, I debated even posting this, but I didn't want to appear to slink off and not say anything. For a number of reasons, I'm taking a leave of JUDDD. I don't know for how long, but I'm sure I will be back. After 6 months of JUDDD, I have made no progress with my weight. It's gone down and down, then up and up, then down, up, down, up... well, you get the picture. And, well, I'm just done for a while. It seems like just when I've got it figured out, just when I think it's working, PSYCH! Just kidding! No go for you!
The really great side of the story is that I have enjoyed many foods the last six months that I have avoided for so long, and I've enjoyed them (nearly) guilt-free and without gaining weight (above this 5ish pound window I've been bouncing in). Today I am exactly where I was 6 months ago weight-wise.
I will likely still practice intermittent fasting, as it is part of the Primal Blueprint program that I try to follow, it will just be more fasting and more intermittent.
So with that, I want to say thank you and happy trails until we meet again!

Stop in and say once in a while, you will be missed!
A man asked Gautama Buddha, "I want happiness." Buddha said, "First remove "I," that's Ego, then remove "want," that's Desire. See now you are left with only "Happiness.”

How disappointing for you, Speck. Good Luck with IF. I am maintaining and thought JUDDD would be a great method to maintain less strictly but I could not stand being hungry a whole day. I am now skipping dinner a couple nights a week and that is much easier for me and like a mini IF. You are so smart to realize what works for you and what does not work on your journey. Good luck and please visit again.

We'll miss you, but understand that no woe is right for every single person. Best wishes with your primal journey, and hope to see you around.

Still at goal 2/6/13

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Don't feel bad about leaving a WOE that is not working for you, you gave it an honest shot and it just is not doing it, no harm at all in leaving something that is just not working. You need to find a program that will help you lose the weight and fit into your life without any sort of major struggle. I wish you well in your search for the WOE that will fit you.

Exercise 4x per week.
Drink more water (80+ oz per day)

I agree with the others that there is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to losing weight. You definitely deserve some sort of award for sticking with it for 6 months and not seeing any progress!!!!

I am confused by this. I did A plan that involves Low carbs and lost 40 pounds. I did all of the diets, Atkins, Nutri, SB, Jenny, WW, Zone, etc. I would lose a little and then get it back. My L plan was the ONLY one where I got skinny. It is fairly simple. No more than 50 to 100 carbs a day. 6 protein meals a day. If you do meat, no more than 3.5 ounces per serving. 2 small veggies a day, two small servings of fruit a day. If you stick to citrus and berries, mall the better. Stay away from carb hogs like potatoes, yams, etc. stay away for grains and rice. You can switch a fruit for a piece of low carb, high protein bread twice a week. Small salad twice a day. That is where I put my veggies and a protein to make the salad feel more substantial. And for God's sake count carbs and watch out for hidden carbs in things like syrup and catsup. You can have a lettuce wrap burger, no bun. I am used to this now and never want to get back on the sugar roller coaster ride again. Thinner and happier. I do meat, eggs, cheese, protein drinks and bats and read labels for the lowest carb choices. Pure protein makes good stuff. You can buy My plan's stuff online. Their protein based pancakes and oatmeal is good. Get low cal/carb syrup at the market, You will be successful, if you do this. Turkey patties and bacon have no carbs and are de,ish. Eggs, no carbs.
