Bloated, gassy tummy. TMI follows!!

HI all I'm a long term LC-er it's served me well, however lately I've been dealing with an uncomfortable problem! The past 3 weeks, doesn't matter what I eat my lower stomach feels bloated and gassy, although I don't necessarily pass gas which seems like it would make me feel better. Sometimes it even hurts it so uncomfortable, I even wake up feeling gassy and bloated, which is not normal for me. I decided to do a colon cleanse just to get everything cleaned out yesterday and have been eating only full fat yogurt, for the probiotics. I don't feel too terrible but I don't feel so good either right now. I'm not sure what to do, I have trouble with my relationship since I never want to be intimate anymore, we use to walk on the beach a lot but I feel like poo and don't want to go out or go to dinner it really is a real problem...it's just awful! Any suggestions?

I have actually been dealing with the same tbing the last 2 or 3 weeks. I have been trying everything, prune juice, natural calm, acv mixed with lemon, and the list goes on. Nothing was helping and I was gaining weight because of it and feeling miserable. Someone on the juddd thread suggested liquid magnesium. I got a bottle this morning and drank it and stayed home from work. It has wrked. I havet been able to be far from the bathroom but its totally cleaning me out finally. I just wish I knew what caused this in the first place. But I'm feeling so much better already. They have it at cvs. That's where I got it and drank the whole bottle. Good luck.

Glad to hear I'm not the only, not so glad to hear somebody else has been dealing with the same problem! I feel miserable and afraid to eat, I feel best (as far as the bloating and gas go) when I'm starving, but miserable because I'm hungry. I'll try the liquid magnesium, anything to get rid of it. And then I can be healthy, energetic and ready to go again, the way I used to. It seems silly but a gassy, upset, painful tummy really does get in the way of everything.
I'll google gal bladder problems, too...
Thanks.

I've had very painful cysts on my ovaries before (got them every month for about a year). They gave me a dull pain in my lower belly and I felt very bloated and gassy. The bloated and gassy feeling would last until I would have a period. I also just felt exhausted and crappy all the time as well. Then a week or two after the period a new cysts would grow, causing the discomfort all over again! It was nothing serious, health wise. Vitamins and a progesterone birth control fixed the problem.

I have a similar problem and I take up to 8 pills of probiotics throughout the day in addition to digestive enzymes, approx. 2 pills of each every time you eat. This eliminates my problem. Yogurt does not necessarily have the right combination of probios needed, or the right amount, so it's best to take them in pill form--plus, no carbs. Vitamin C can also help.

For something that's interfering with your life this much, and that's been going on for 3 weeks like this has, I'd say you should see a doctor.

Abdominal pain can be from a lot of different things.

Definitely don't take any more laxatives until you see someone. (Colon cleanse products and magnesium are both laxatives.)

I agree. 3 weeks for it to be happening is a little long, especially if it happens with everything you eat.

Hope you figure it out and feel better soon!

Yep could be a partial small bowel obstruction or something else...see a doc and get some peace of mind. You can keep guessing or get tested and find out what's going on.

Hope you went to see a doctor.

I once had it to the point where I couldn't sleep at night. I couldn't lay on my stomach or on my sides. I had to lay on my back and even then I felt like a ton of bricks was laying on my stomach. Gladly it was over within 5 days.
